Looks like Clutch is banning sof's before they make their first post . As I said, it is bad you had to read something like that but I don't think it is a good idea to project it onto others.
ATW, you know that for 2+ years my only complaint has been against Sengunatics--not Sengun, and not Sengun's fans. Just the whack jobs. I count the folks who talk about Sengun being "abused" or persecuted among that group. Even the quote that you use in your sig, from almost a year ago, points out this simple fact about my posting history: so again, if the Sengunatic shoe fits, wear it. If you or anyone else believes they are being a reasonable Sengun fan, then nothing I post should affect you or them.
How many Sengunatic you see in this forum posting regularly - and how many posts a week you do against them? Maybe there's a mismatch there.
Sorry, one more post. No need to act this dumb or disingenuous, we both definitely know better. I like you and @AlperenSengun and 98% of posters here, or else I wouldn't be here. If you guys want to act like you don't understand my point, circle jerk away. But when I notice things being about more than basketball I might be a little hostile. Sorry in advance.
There are supporters of other players, where that player is their favourite player (e.g. a certain poster whom I have on Ignore has Jalen as his favourite, there were a handful of KPJ stans, etc.). You never went after any of them, @Os Trigonum. The difference is that Alpi, indeed, is establishing himself as far and away the best player on the Rockets (yes, Ime and FVV have been absolutely instrumental in this, and continue to be). And the more Alpi is proving to be the best player, the less defensible it becomes to ridicule posters who have committed no other sin than saying that, indeed, he is our best player (and has been all along, given the opportunity). You are too smart to not understand that, intellectually. But I understand that it is difficult to change, once on has embarked on a certain course.
Thanks. I have always liked you as a poster as well. I genuinely don't understand what the private message is meant to prove, other than that there is at least one poster with some sort of persecution complex? If that's your point, yes, that's conceded. I just don't see a widespread phenomenon of that happening. Most Alpi fans I see posting may want some more PR and backing from the team for him for the all-star game and were (in my opinion, legitimately) frustrated with how the org prioritized KPJ and Jalen over Alpi, but I don't see anything crazy about that. While I passionately disagree with one or two of the Turkish fans in the D&D, I feel like most of them actually support the entire Rockets team, and many of them are quite knowledgable and respectful.
Dude you are lying it is crystal clear. You are covering your frustration with trolling. I do not know the exact reason why but please dont act like we have 0 EQ, have not lived a life, seen people, agendas, motives. Being technically or politically right is NOT being actually right. You can show every statement you make as a proof, it will not change the fact which can be derived from your intentions easily. You are investing so much time to this, own it, enjoy it.
My complaint is that by continuing to group people supportive of the team's objectively best player as "SOF" or "Sengunatics" (which is obviously a play on words of "lunatic"), you are unnecessarily dividing the fanbase. For almost all fans who consider Sengun the best player on the team (except maybe the very very few ones who talk nonsense about racism or wanting him to get traded from the Rockets), there is nothing "lunatic" about that stance. He is objectively the best player on the team, so we have no idea why you are accusing those talking about him as such as lunatics. Again, I strongly doubt that people who talk about Curry, Jokic, Giannis as the best player on those teams are treated as some kind of lunatics by other fans of those teams.
I think you are giving me WAY too much credit here, "unnecessarily dividing the fanbase"?? then those fans have nothing to fear from me again, if the lunatic shoe fits, wear it I don't really care about those players or their fans
@Os Trigonum - can you define where someone becomes a "Sengunatic", in your opinion? I said where I would draw the line - if someone claims that racism is the reason for any perceived mistreatment of Sengun, or where someone wants Sengun to get traded away from the Rockets, that person crosses the line/is not a Rockets fan for me. What is your definition?
Those who I place in the "Sengunatic" category are among some of the angriest and nastiest posters here. It is that anger and nastiness that are among the primary defining characteristics of Sengunacy.
Were posts deleted? I know a few posters got banned, but can you point to any actual example posts of "Sengunatics" being "angry and nasty"? Towards you? Would be helpful to see the posts to understand what drove you to continue with that schtick for such a long time.
look, by analogy, just as one cannot define the color "red," one can instead engage in ostensive definition by pointing out multiple incidences of things/objects that possess the quality "red," and in so doing one hopes the person on the receiving end can perceive the pattern and make an accurate judgment or conclusion about the quality of "red" being denoted. The act of mocking or satirizing day-to-day examples of "Sengunacy" is itself a type of ostensive definition. One hopes others can see the pattern and recognize the quality being denoted. Sengunacy is everywhere around us. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ostensive_definition
This thread has gone left. I'll chime in and say the anti-SOF posters (you know who you are) are definitely stirring the pot unnecessarily. Call out the posters directly, the passive-aggressive stuff doesn't help.
