ClutchFans Game Thread: Pistons @ Rockets 1/1/2024

First time I saw the Pistons play and I can see why they only won 3 games it's cuz they have 3.5 Daishen Nixes on that team.

Ausar - Good defensively, but Daishen Nix on offense
Killian Hayes - Nix 2.0
Marvin Bagley - Nix PF version
Wiseman - even more of a Nix than Daishen Nix

Wiseman and Bagley were especially egregious they make Jock Landale look halfway decent. They were so bad Kevin Knox was starting over and Knox was so bad Knicks let him go for nothing lol. Weaver deserves an award for managing to get so many lotto busts on one team he should trade for Johnny Davis and Jarrett Culver so they can roll out the Bust 5.

At least Amen had his first real good game, that was encouraging to see.

 

You mean all "lottery level" talents?

 

I am watching rn spoiler free and I have come to conclusion that 2 day breaks are never good for Alperen. He can not dial-in after, not good.

 

The Worst teams in history have Daishen Nixes and Christian Woods...

I was @ second quarter when I wrote this. However I can say that he starts bad after every 2 day brak. Too lazy to look up stats maybe confirmation bias idk.

 

Silas was never accused of being not a nice guy but yeah that is good to see. To be honest, I think this speaks more to our players - that even though he sucked as a coach, our players are good guys to go over and show him love. Am I too cynical

 

You are right but I guess the players are less deep thinkers and just say hello and ask 'How is it out there with the Pistons, they not that good...huh'

 

I don’t get the love affair with Holiday. He occasionally gets hot from three. He is sought out on defense and now is fouling too much. Ime is integrating Amen into the rotation masterfully. The Rockets need his defense and he makes all the right reads on offense. Cam will get more playing time later in the year. I expect Tate is going to be traded if we still have a shot at the playoffs at the deadline. Tate fouled out last night against friggin Detroit. He is ok, but Cam will overtake him before the year is out.
