His 3 pointers are coming around......in the Phoenix game he still could not finish but that was a start.

Still not very efficient overall, sure. But he put up 40 pt games on 60% fg and 50% 3, so it's definitely within the realms of possibility. In fact, all he needs to do is get consistently efficient and all the Green haters flat out declaring him a bust will look very, very silly.

Yeah I mean there’s still time but I just have seen enough to know he’s not a natural fit in the role. He’s still the best option we have in the 2 guard spot but just not really able to maximize his strengths and the Ime/Sengun/FVV offense would greatly benefit in consistency if they had a more natural shooting guard in the half court.

Again not the end of the world for both parties if we have to stay married but I’ve seen enough to feel confident now that it’s maybe best for both sides if there’s a team that makes sense.

sorry but single game stats means nothing now when you have a 2 year sample. All RJ and Wiggins had to do is be consistent too. Green has a limited window to be consistent now in his third year. So far, he has shown to be even less consistent than the last two years under a way better coach and better system. He has time, but the time is slowly running out

green used to get 1-3 baskets in transition in the silas offense. that simply does not happen these days. we play at the slowest pace in the league.

1-2 transition buckets and 1 more three made a game and these threads are halved.

don't take double d analysis of green too seriously, man was too emotionally invested into kpj that he's a bit bitter about the aftermath and is just taking his frustration onto green by being a more harsh.

I think green is progressing fine, learning to play as a team player and doing the little things that folks want which is play team ball.

KPJ's 3rd season wasn't good either. 15 points on 41% FG and 64% FT. We should definitely give Jalen more time.

You have to look at the efg%, KPJ shot 37% from 3 and was very good at catch and shoot. Jalen has to have a season average of 37% to be considered as a threat from 3.

Also we are probably the most braindead team in the league in transition. We're more likely to turn it over than score.

I am neutral on Green. But I've been vehemently against shopping him now. Once you start shopping him, you are announcing to the league that you are giving up on him. All you will get is lowball offers. What good is long term by trading him for some mediocre return? Give us a few more wins in the regular season? A 8th seed play-in instead of a 10th seed and get blown out in the first round? You might as well wait and see if he pans out. As long as we don't give him a max extension before he shows signs of stardom, there is really no harm keeping him.

If you get something really good and need Green as part of the package, then I'm all for dealing him. But that will likely involve at least one of our more valuable assets such as Sengun or Smith and maybe Brooks.

God, wish could've gotten that 1st overall because Cade would look amazing on this team. Instead everynight Rockets fans debate over Mr. 30%3pt Green

Yeah for sure. I was just saying KPJ wasn't that impressive either, his first 3 years.

I don't know how much more evidence is needed.

Jalen being asked to handle the ball and make decisions/moves = disaster most of the time.

Jalen being asked to pass the ball to others so they can operate, then shoot it when they get him the ball = he looks like a competent basketball player.

No more Jalen dribble penetrations in 2024 please.

He played well in the 2nd half, but he was getting his points off of shots created by other players. He needs to stop trying to initiate the offense.

You know he initiated that beautiful 2 man give and go with Sengun right?

Did you not see him cutting better and moving without the ball better?

Did you not see him have very good rotations and defensive positioning?

We going to ignore his good game and all the positives?

Just so we can say "he still has a sloppy handle when penetrating"?(he still didn't have a turnover)

Just so we can say "he had a bad 1st half"?(his first half was fine)

This fan base is insufferable when it comes to Green.

Serious question. Do you think this is remotely what Ime is telling Green to do?
