You know its funny but some people actually think like this. A guy who recently stiffed my company and a few others I know by accepting deposits for work and then never completing the projects or refunding the money actually tried to use this type of logic to justify what he had done. He told me after admitting that he was going to screw us that "we are all responsible for our own situation" As if since we paid him deposits in advance according to terms, its somehow our fault that he did not live up to his end of the deal. As if we should have expected to get taken.

So yes believe it or not, some people really think that the victim of a crime automatically shares responsibility for it. No wonder there are so many "innocent" men in jail. Someone else made them do it.

All I can think of is this George Carlin quote:

    "I never f**ked a 10, but I f**ked 5 twos."

I wonder if it was around 2am.

Well, it appears as though it was a breast grab, which in my opinion is inappropriate, but I don't think should be a lawsuit. Maybe he thought she was interested. I mean where do you draw the line on that one. I've had my hand brushed off the breast a number of times but it was always done politely. No harm done. But when does it become a criminal act.

assault is a relatively minor thing when you threaten someone e.g tell another personyou will beat him up even if it's said in a casual non-violent way or indecently by grabbing her butt.

    Let me see thats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 replys.

Yall are sooo easy. :D :D

There was a little truth in what I posted but it was late and I was not ready to write a whole post at the time so I was just going for shock value.

I don't blame the victim, however if she was at home in her bed, this would have never happend. I understand where your coming from

is it your fault if someone. . .

    ...steals your car NO
    ...robbed your house NO

But lets say you take your nice car and park it on the set of "Gone in 60 Seconds II". Well, you still don't deserve to get it stolen, but if it does, its still PART you fault for puting it there.

Also, if you leave your home unlocked in the projects, Don't be shocked when your robbed.

Like I was saying, NO you did not deserve that, but if that guy was a 3 time convected con artist. Then yes it would be part your fault.

If I wanted to go eat big juicy steak, i should be able to do that without being attacked. However if I go eat that steak in a lions cage, then I should not be suprised to be attacked.

Now, when your a goodlooking women and you go to a bar full of drunk and horny men, thats like eating in the lions cage, she put herself in a danger zone. No she diddn't deserve that, but she should not be too shocked that it happend.

I think you are missing the point also. Its not that im trying to say shes guilty and hes not. If he did it then YES he should be tossed in prison and locked up. BUT, she still could have avoided it.

Hope I explaned that well enough

    What guy?

I wonder how many men had touched her in the hours before Barkley did?

    I guess they weren't checking ID's that night.

That reminds me of a line from "State and Main":

    WALT
Put something in his room. What does he
    like?

    BILL
    Fourteen year old girls.

    WALT
Well, get him something else and let's
get out of here in one piece. Get him a
half of a 28-year old girl.

This is from the shooting script I found online. But I could have sworn the line in the actual movie was, "Get him two 28 year olds."

Drunk single people at a club. This stuff happens all the time. He will beat the case and she will be at another club acting like a freak.

Now if she was in there shaking her ass 2 inches from his lap, then I go back to my first statement and she DID deserve it

This is one conservative view I weirdly agree with.

I can't really explain why though but it falls in the list of the beef I have with women that expose their mid-section? What is the point really? To attract men? So when the man does get wowed by you navel or your glancing pubic hair, what is left? I still believe in conservation especially of womens bodies. I do not like any form of exploitation of the human body especially women's. But who cares....we live in one of the most hypocritic society as far as exploitation and abuse of women's image is concerned. This is why I hate the cheerleaders idea that the NFL so promote. The NFL hates Janet's walldrobe malfunction but the love to promote the stupid cheerleaders idea....what hypocrites we are. I can't take my child to an NFL game for this reason because I will not be able to explain to him or her why there is the need for the stupid scantily dressed cheerleaders. Eye candy my butt

The sad thing is that it does not end there.......if you are not an eye-candy kinda woman, forget about making it to prime time TV.

Stupid ignorant post. How about saying if Barkley wasn't at the bar this wouldn't happen instead if the woman was in bed instead of being at the bar? How logical.

The alleged assault apparently occured at the second annual Philadelphia Daily News Sexy Singles party. It doesn't sound like she was at the sort of party where your presence is an invitation to fondle.

In Minor defense of Agent86's post, I will say this:

There is a HUGE grey area as to what is inappropriate.

I've got thick skin. You pretty much have to break a bottle over my head (it happened) for me to press charges. Some people love to use these things to get their way. Ie: punch and I'll sue.

Women are exactly the same way. I've seen women get groped, and I mean groped, by absolute strangers and blow it off.

Other women are ready to take advantage of a celebrity doing anything to them so they can get his money.

It's very easy to say we all know where the line is and I'd never cross it, but you never know.

I'm not saying Barkley didn't do something inappropriate. I'd just like the details.

I agree Fatty, I want to see what happened before I pass judgement. But that's not 86's point. His point is that she shouldn't have been out in the first place.

I wonder what folks in this threads reactions would be if it was, let's say, Karl Malone instead of Barkley....
