    I like that Coach Udoka, when asked about a particular player after a win who played a key role, points out things that player did that were clearly aspects of their game he has been wanting them to improve on. As an example, while talking about Sengun, he made a point of mentioning his strong play in the 1st quarter. Sengun sometimes gets off to a slow start during a game, which impacts the team’s beginning tempo in a negative way.

    Not tonight. It’s just an example of Ime’s constant effort to take advantage of every possible teaching moment, whether it’s with Sengun, Jabari - with any of the players. Coach Udoka continues to prove that he was a great hire, in my opinion, and that’s just one of the interesting things he does that I’ve noticed.

    It is extremely tough to play 40 minutes with the same energy level.......especially when a lot of interior and some exterior Defense is resting on your shoulders.

    And staying out of foul trouble.

    Ime is a good preacher but he never got to experience that as a player because 15-18 minutes per game is the most minutes he ever played.

    It sure is. Yet getting off to a strong start can often lead to an “easier” game not only for the player, but for his teammates, as well, in my opinion.
