Thanks all who voted for Alperen Sengun to the All-Star game and helped Alpi pass Kawhi!

Durant and Lebron are considered Front Court.......so are Kawhi and possibly PG

 

I'm really asking, who do you see as a better choice in the West?
I know you don't like him, but you should at least want to see a Rockets player in the All-Star game after all these years.

 

Durant and Lebron will both be selected after AD and Jokic but there is probably still one spot on the bench for the frontcourt and I think Sabonis and Sengun are the two biggest candidates for that spot. I meant this.

I think KA Towns is better than Sabonis but we will see.

Also I think Wemby and Chet are all in the race in my opinion.....mainly Chet Holmgren to at least be in the List of Injuries to be called up.

 

He is just king of empty stats. I'll be very disappointed if he becomes an all-star.

NBA is an organization that attaches importance to marketing and if the international support for Sengun is this high, I think he will still have a chance.

No matter what, I will continue voting until the last day.

 

I just know but these polemics with him do not lead to anything.

 

No doubt, all I am saying is the West is stacked, I have been watching, a lot of guys have earned the right to be in the Conversation at least.

 

Unfortunately yes, there is always more competition in every aspect in the west. But we are trying anyway.

I love Sengun but KAT is definitely ahead of him. The Twolves are 20-5 and the best defense in the NBA and Towns is clearly the 1B of that team after Edwards and in some games he's the one taking over. KAT is averaging 22.2 9.5 3 0.7 0.9 compared to 24.6 5.4 5.1 1.4 0.5 for Edwards. They are both absolute locks for the all-star game.

Alpi can make it but it's gonna be tough.
Jokic, LeBron Kawhi, KAT, Durant will be frontcourt locks with Sabonis, AD, Zion/Ingram, Chet, Sabonis in strong contention for the remaining spots. Hopefully PG, Luka and Edwards can go in as guards so there's less competition.

Pass.

Nothing against the kid, I think one day he WILL be in the AS game, but it’s early for me.
Part of it is not his fault: for two years we didn’t have a real team, he never learned what is it to grind an NBA season night-after-night. So we only have this season to assess, and he was great for ~20 games but then started to fizzle out. Mental stamina is not there yet.

In a sense he is a rookie, if not even less than a rookie in terms of NBA habits. Rookies have to learn everything from scratch but for Alperen and Jalen it is even worse, as they have to un-learn two years of bad habits first…

Also, why would I vote for Alperen ahead of FVV, who’s clearly our best player? If we deserve a slot it should be Fed, not Alperen.
