Real Gm says Knicks Interested in K Clark

    http://www.nypost.com/sports/knicks/19033.htm

Vin Baker may be have been penciled in for a $3.5M contract, however, the Knicks might still be in the market for another big man to beef up their front court giving them some extra “Shaq-Proofing."

The Knicks still have a $1.4M exception that they may use to try and land the Keon Clark, the lanky 6’11” center. This would give them some more height to throw at Shaq in the upcoming battle for the East.

The Knicks are just terrible. They should be contracted out of the league. Sure, they might get the 6-8 seed for the next few years, but is there another team that is locked into mediocrity for as long as NYK is? At least with terrible teams you have high draft picks.

If both the Rockets and Knicks are offering the minimum, which team would be the better situation for Clark (and more likely for him to sign with)?

I'd still love to have him and/or Mutombo.

Well, since the Knicks are more liable to through their money away and give him a big contract in a few years -- gotta say the knicks.

Clark was something like backup plan Z for Isiah as the summer started. Rasheed, McDyess, Walker, Dampier, Doleac, you name the big man, Thomas struck out. But he gets Baker and Clark!
