The dude's a blowhard entrepreneur wanting to be President. He says what he thinks will get him attention and votes, and has flip flopped on Trump and the insurrection.

Committee, Trump sat for hours watching the attack on the U.S. Capitol unfold on live TV, ignoring pleas by Ivanka and other advisers to urge his supporters to stop the violence.
