I think it's just strength. He's a finesse type which is why he's always trying to convert difficult shots at the rim vs someone like say tari who has strength just goes straight to the rim. I wish he could learn to create more contact "before" jumping and trying to score. Too often his fouls occur after hes left his feet.

Again Jalen was 4/3/4 in the 1st quarter shooting like 1 of 6. He was playing well imo doing a bit of everything. He got to 1 of 9 shooting before being 2 of 10 at the half and in that span his confidence disapearred and so did his "energy" that ime referenced. 3rd didn't get better and he got yoinked, rightfully so.

Jalen needs to be way more consistent with his effort. I love that Ime will sit you down if you're not giving the right amount of effort, sort of like Kelvin Sampson.

Have you ever considered that "everyone" doesn't actually hate him? That maybe it's just Rocket fans observing that he's been an objectively bad player? You know an inefficient scorer, who's bad on defense, isn't a good passer, and isn't a good rebounder. He's had good individual games and moments for sure, but on average he's done nothing well, and the honeymoon phase of "potential" only lasts so long.

Getting hot and having a big scoring game once every week or two isn't something any serious starting player can solely hang their hat on, that's the definition of a career bench journeyman like Malik Monk, Marcus Thornton, JR Smith, and Lou Will.

If I go to the park, play like sh*t, and then ask my boys after if I was balling today.... when they say "No, you sucked today" are they HATERS who want to see me fail? Do they need to get an earful of some excuses about why my sucking is not my fault?

This is Jalen's 3rd year and he's gotten tons of minutes, he's going to be judged for what he's doing. Jalen chose the G-league over college, that's his career decision.

Feeling bad for him is odd when he's gotten so much opportunity, and not to mention a 40 million dollar rookie deal already. Whether he fills his potential or not he's got an NBA career ahead of him and even bench players are securing generational wealth these days.

So Udoker benched most of the Starting Unit and DB fouled out.

JJJ is one of the weirdest centers i have ever seen and probably will ever see. It's beyond me how he is a scorer with a form like that. He moves and shoots like a complete spas.tic but somehow a very reliable scorer.

100%. Plus we have one of the easiest schedules in the 2nd half of the season, if we find our footing during that time period we'll definitely secure a playoff seed.

I do not thin this is so unpopular......I am not bothered as much by the benchings as how the roster was constructed.

You are basically hanging on a thread and are at the whim of end of bench players for most NBA teams.+

Essentially because Jalen and Bari are unable to carry a team through even a month offensively.

Even Jokic cannot win games by himself.

I actually think our roster construction is fine, we have a solid defensive core, young guys on the come up, and reliable veterans. Are we a championship team? Definitely not. But we are winning games and are more often than not very close in the games we lose.

A poor roster construction to me would be the Pistons. They have NO spacing at all

I agree but the ambition has grown substantially and with it you got to get better players......I thought FVV and Brooks were underwhelming.

They played to their best of abilities but from a building standpoint, those are Plan Bs after Plan A of a Jaylen Brown failed....

It is about setting a sign, they did that with the new Practice areas.....but you gotta get roster construction done.

On all the other NBA teams, guys like Landale, Holiday, Boban, Jeff Green are 11th man at best.....come on now, you know that is true.

They are playing above what is expected of them, that is all.

Good thing Tari saved the last 2 games and got healthy in time.

This was one of those games where Smith looked like he did at Auburn. Tari Eason is just a baller. Needs to play more.
