No we need green to have a full season under Udoka first man . Quit being so impatient .. over action after every bad game green has but where were you when we beat Denver in Denver ? It’s more important for green to develop and be given the opportunity. He’s only 21 geeze
We need a Star guard to team with Sengun, Green has a good game every third game he is not consistent at all
Silas is part of the reason Green isn't as consistent as he should be. The talent is there, but this is the 1st time in his short career that he's actually being coached. He will be a star in due time.
How was Jamal Murray, Devin Booker, Zach Lavine, Stephen Curry, in the beginning of his career. They were all inconsistent, get benched often, weren't scoring consistently, underdeveloped Physically but got stronger year by year and played better. All became All Stars.
Why are you missing the hundreds of others that failed? Why are you sure that Jalen is the same as them and not say...Lou Williams? DD
I think if Jalen Green was picked 10 slots lower, we would have 300% clearer vision of our team's rotation. TBH to hell with your pick number, earn your minutes. Jalen has had his chance, he hasn't improved. He is the weak link. We got some frikkin KILLERS waiting behind him. Ime knows this.
Green has improved his all around game. Problem is that his shot is inconsistent from 3 and he sometimes gets impatient taking it to the rim when the mid range shot is there. He's a much better player when he lets the game come to him rather than trying to be the man. Hopefully this is just all part of the learning process.
He’s stats are exactly same as before but he is playing in winning team so I’ll take that as a positive. Seems like opponent teams knows how easy to shut him down which is crowd the paint and let him shoot from far and the bad thing is Sengun has same weakness so kinda sucks that if other team finds about that and we would have a lot of trouble. Coach Pop knows about it but not many coaches do yet.
Every time JG4 has a bad game the same r****ds get ahold of their caretaker’s iPad and post bullshit. Just because JG4 somehow could not find a clean lane against who may already be the most dominant defensive big man in the league as a rookie, doesn’t mean we should trade him. You see how many blocks he had? No one could hit layups. That is why we all wanted him! Hopefully team management is not as idiotic as the posters and Sengun t-baggers who sound off every night. BTW- where are all the Sengun nut huggers tonight after he got destroyed by a rookie? Everyone needs to STFU and calm down. BTW - WE WON THE FRIGGIN GAME! That should be all that matters.
Who’s getting to the paint in this offense? Bari and Tari can’t. Brooks isn’t a great dribble drive guy and doesn’t finish well in that 5-9 ft area as we have repeatedly seen. Every offense needs a couple players who can get to the paint and draw defenses in. This unit you have would be very stagnant relying on outside shooting if Sengun post or high screen and roll isn’t there.
I don’t get Udoka’s lineups sometimes and the minutes he gives certain players. Tate was the only guy playing well last game but didn’t get much time. Green’s minutes have been reduced getting pulled out usually before the end of the 1st quarter and playing bulk of minutes with second unit while not finishing games. On offense he isn’t featured as its FVV Sengun’s show. I watched Boston’s game tonight and saw a balanced offense with Porzingis getting post touches but also Tatum getting iso and post touches. This isn’t happening with Green and part of the issue with Green is he doesn’t have a mid post game. But Udoka isn’t giving him the spacing and sets to drive. Reason he was able to be more free flowing in Silas’ offense was more isos but also more 5 out sets or running pistol set etc. Something has to change.
Green needs the ball in his hands. The offense is imbalanced with too many FVV touches. Last time I checked he was num 8 in touches in the league. This shouldn’t be his role. Green should be handling more in those high screen sets but also getting sets where he has driving lanes. We saw how successful he was in that DEN game when he took over the 3rd quarter with more isos and the ball in his hands. And we saw what he was capable of last year. Silas was putting the ball more in his hands as a decision maker. I think FVV presence has stunted this a bit. We shall see what adjustments Udoka and staff make. Something has to give.
Lou Williams had a very long and successful career. Multiple 6th man of the year awards. If that is Jalen’s floor then you keep him at the right price.
Because Green is maybe the lowest basketball iq player in this league. And for you and all others, this match was won because of Sengun's post play at the end of the 4th quarter. He is such a great player is that in a day when he sucks, makes turniovers, he makes 15/9 with %50. This is we call consistency. And we wait same consistency from our old #2 pick, he is not a rookie. What is wrong with this? Green has only one skill, athleticism and it is limited. This kid even can not dribble Ball. The weakest piece in starting unit. Noone says that trade him, but stop talking and acting like he is a superstar of this team. He even did not show that he belongs NBA. I dont care how much he scores in chosen matches, he has very low basketball iq , does not pass when has to, does not score when has to... Plays like a 15 year old school boy. But we are in NBA, this is not a school team. Everybody says wait, he is only 21 years old. Sengun is not 30 years old, as monthly, younger than Green. I respect Green fans want to hype about him, but just take Sengun out of this messages. No need for.this. Right now we are looking for a partner to our best player in Sengun, and Green has not shown enough to be that partner. High basketball iq players like Jokic, Sengun or Hawks Bogdan Bogdanovich need or want high basketball iq partner to compelement them, and it is very clear that Green is not.
Did Jalen green yell at sengun or something? cause the hate from the sengunatics are quite wild and irrational.
We want only Sengun to succeed and nobody else. Green is a threat that must be eliminated. There is a group of posters with strong anti-green sentiment all over the board. I think regardless of where you rank him, you should support him playing because it would be extremely stupid not to use this year to evaluate him properly. You already made a mistake by handing him to Silas for two years. Give the kid a proper one year to show if and how much he can improve by proper coaching.
Agreed, but especially with your last sentence. I really dont think Green is going to be given all year to mess around without showing some real and tangible improvement. I think unless Green flips a switch hes going to start seeing a major reduction in minutes and maybe lose his starting spot. I dont see Ime running JG out there all year as a starter getting starters minutes playing the way he has over the first quarter of the season.
