Don't let the door hit ya where the Great Lord Jesus split ya. It was fun. I just wish that we could be the one to "break up" with him instead of the other way around. I wanted Hakeem jibber jabberin' about how he wanted to play here and be a part of this team. Then, we all laugh and point and then point and laugh about how old and decrepid he is as he signs with the Grizzlies for the minimum. Sure, he can still play, but for how long and at what intensity before he starts to overheat and breakdown? As good as he played last year, it was a total yo yo with his health. Between the arythmias, hernias, clots and assorted appendage failures, he will be lucky to play 50 games...not to mention the playoffs. There will always be teams willing to pay past their prime famous athletes way more money than they are worth just to have some name recognition on their team.
