I am sure the National Association of Scholars - it is a right wing organization.

I will not dive into what Fareed Zakaria stated or even that issue.

What I am confident in saying is that the response that Gay gave was very poor, and Harvard has very high standards, so I don't have an issue with them dismissing her for failure to properly navigate the congressional hearings.

Also - if she did indeed plagiarize to the degree claimed, then she should be removed for failing to adhere to the principles of Harvard.

Oversight Committee hearings are performance theatre, no doubt -- it's been that way on both sides of the aisle for years now.

I've been on the other side of one with -- having met with the Rep both before and after, the nuance of the issues was well understood, but the Rep wanted a social media clip.

I can also guarantee that those Presidents could have found allies among other Committee members and plant softball questions to make their points without Stefanik interrupting. They didn't.

I have always thought you are one of the smartest posters on this forum.

And I have never seen you post in the D&D before (probably because you are smart).

May I ask - did you go to Harvard?

Yes. I generally avoid commenting where I do not have a vested interest — in this case, I do.

I'm not surprised that both Gay and the Harvard board are digging in.

She is a marxist career bureaucrat whose entire career has been built on basically a ticket of promoting unequal treatment and discrimination, under the guise of "DEI". And that's the "business plan" the Harvard board hired her for.

    She has nothing else.

And she will undoubtedly pull the card when she ultimately has to go despite clinging to her seat like Honecker.

It's a shame. I always had great admiration for Harvard and somehow was certain at least one of my kids would study there.

Hopefully they can get back to academic excellence and equal treatment before the law, instead of allowing ideologues to go ham on misguided discriminatory identity politics.
