Israel is in a special situation though because it is such a small religion. They would otherwise always be the minority, in a world where almost all their neighbors are hostile towards them.
I think it’s important to recognize that no matter what you feel about Israel, it’s a nation state for Jews but it’s not the embodiment of Jews across the globe. You shouldn’t tear down the property or harass a Russian or Chinese person just because you disagree with the Russian or Chinese government. Again, part of me suspects that these acts of vandalism are being egged on by people who would otherwise seek to discredit the entire Palestinian statehood because what way to make people not support your cause than to destroy a menorah or tombs and put up Palestinian flags. The again, these people are crazy and will do anything for clout.
