all i know if Amen played badly in the g-league people wouldn't be saying they dont care about g-league

Amen looking like he dominated g-league players is def a GOOD thing.

he played well in the g-league.

Having watched portions of the game, I would add that the way Amen carried himself in this G-league game was impressive.

He wasn't hogging the ball or taking wild shots. He was poised, explosive at times, and made the right passes. He limited his turnovers and handled the ball a lot. When they pressured him, he blew by people to the rim. He calmly made threes when they gave him the Russell-Westbrook space on the perimeter.

If you can shake off the rust and get a quiet triple-double, that's what we have here.

He's going to get a lot better. His D was ok but not nearly what it will be. His ability to close out on shooters already jumps out. And he'll be a valuable contributor on the glass (though he will have to get better at knowing when to get back).

It's nowhere near NBA caliber but it's better than D1 college ball and a lot better than OTE.

Did he cut or braid his hair or something? It's kinda blurry.

Playing poorly in the G League means a lot more than playing well. Glad he did great, but kind of expected/hoped he would.

I think it might be more like Amen backs up Fred and Holiday backs up Jalen. Holiday is basically an undersized shooting guard so that fits with an oversized point guard.

exactly. So when people say "I don't care about g-league" it's a lie. a lottery pick not performing well down there is a death sentence for confidence and in the NBA zeitgeist.

if Amen came back with a 10-6-5 games. we would have buried him.

You know Ausar was talking some ish while laughing at Amen and almost choking on turkey. That had to burn inside. That's right Amen, can't let your brother talk to you like that in front of your mom's!

I’d like that combo. I want to see him get more opportunity as the primary ball handler but he’s mostly been used as a wing.
