He needs to make his layups. He can't finish around the rim.

Eason so far been a massive postivie as expected. Him, Unc Green, Tate and Holiday make up the 9 man rotation right now.

Tari Eason was awesome tonight. Udoka LOVES the Tate/Tari combo. We are nasty off the bench when the bash bros come in.

I was wishing this was the lineup to close out the game instead of with J-less Green.

He's not too good to ignore. He's a great role player and that's it. He is a good enough 3pt shooter, hustle, energy guy. He's slightly a better version of Tate. He's better shooter and rebounder than Tate but Tate is better in the paint and probably a little better on defensive end. Both have limited bbiq and tunnel vision. I remember on Twitter that James Piercey guy was arguing with some OKC guy and i distinctly remember him saying that he preferred Jalen Williams over Tari because Tari was not what we needed.. These are the people we are trying to have a conversation. After 3 years of rebuild we have 1 good player in our hands yet these people think that they can turn their noses up at a 18ppg efficient guy with good defense. I'd take Jalen Wiliams over Tari 10 times out of 10.

Yeah, his offensive skillset seems fairly limited so far. He gets most of his points off hustle and being set up for easy buckets. That said, his shooting looks pretty decent and he doesn't take many bad shots. Even if he ends up just being Kenneth Faried with a jump shot, that's a really good player who doesn't hurt your spacing. I can see him starting for us in the future or I can see him always being a bench guy, just depends on how much he progresses on offense.

Edit: To be fair he does also have better defensive instincts/fundamentals than Faried ever did

Eason NEEDS to play 25 minutes a game, I would take some of Jalen’s minutes at the end of the game and when we need to play defense in the game….Jalen is not a great shooter and Tari will bring more physicality to driving the ball, defense and rebounding

He lead the team last year in +/- per 100 possessions at +7.9 when we stunk.

He leads the team this year in +/- per 100 possessions at +17.1.

When he's playing, good things happen. The eye test matches the stats.

Playing him only 18 minutes per game is stupid, unless he's still getting over that injury from earlier this year.

Stop. It's not Jalen's minutes on the line.

If anybody it's Jock, Tate and Jeff that'll be sacrificing. A theoretical 8 man playoff rotation would likely cut Tate's minutes as the 4th forward. 3 guards, 3 forwards, 2 centers.... FVV, Green, Amen - DB, Smith, Tari - Sengun, Jeff I guess.

Would like to see Eason, Brooks, and Tate together and crush whoever they’re against

I think Tari should play 30+ minutes, and he should be matched with Alpi as much as possible.

Totally agree. It's a crime that he only gets 20 minutes per game.

Just very raw, it's hard to keep him out there when the game is close.

He's getting that development time he should have gotten last year.

Like Jalen, he needs to improve his strength, finishing and team defense. Good thing about Tari is you're 100% sure he's going to be super valuable in a couple of years. He's an excellent contributor already.

Between Jalen, Bari, Tari, Amen and Whitmore there are so many promising stories unfolding.

Keep him on the bench with #28.

Jalen and Jabari are the ones to carry our team.

Great post as usual. We got a taste of success and fans on this site are losing patience. We started off thinking 5-20 was about what we were going to get from this brutal starting schedule. Amen and Tari being hurt really put a wrench in our rotation plans. We have to get a decent back-up center. Our starting unit is one of the best in the league and stats bear it out.

I love Tate but he needs to take most of his minutes. Take like 5 from Tate and 3 from Brooks and Tari we are there on MPG.
