I think the better way to think about the concept you are trying to describe is that there isn’t a drastic of a difference between the slowest guy on the court and fastest guy or the tallest guy and the shortest guy, or the most in shape vs the least in shape…or the smartest or dumbest player on the court - the worst players in todays game are far more skilled than the worst players of the past. There aren’t as many obvious mismatches to hunt.
I still believe Green can be a very good player for us. However what really drives me nuts is that he never waits for the screen/pick to actually stand ready. He always starts his move before the screener is set. It either causes the screener to pick up a foul, or the screen is ineffective. Just be more patient. It is not that difficult to adjust, but it is taking a long time.
Watch this terrorist's disciples to justify his dog water performance by bringing up his +/- (He's -6). I thought Americans didn't negotiate with terrorists. We are feeding one in Houston. Nasa should glue him to one of their cheap rockets and send him to outer space tomorrow (One way)
My verdict on Jalen after 2 plus seasons: Pros: Jumps high. Runs fast. Explosive to the rim. Cons: Extremely streaky shooter. Very loose ball handling. Can't box out. Limited court vision. And then, MORE OFTEN THAN NOT he just plain doesn't know what to do on the court. Very low basketball IQ
Looking forward to the next time he has an effficient 30 points at home and half this website tries to say he’s an awesome player and anybody who’s critical of him for 80% of his games being duds is a “hater”
and I was called a racist pre-draft for pointing out his lack of coherency in interviews. He talks like a dumb@ss. Plays basketball like a dumb@ss. Might mean that he’s just a dumb@ss
@invocux said it … he’s gonna have a flash, some hot games where he tricks you into thinking he’s the one, that he’s a franchise player. If we automatically assume guys just get better with time/age, there’d be far fewer busts in the history of the game. Someone said put him on Boston or Golden State with other better players around him and see how he looks then. Yes, put him on a contender and he’s playing 18 minutes coming off the bench. I don’t agree with DD regarding being a 4th year pro but the revisionist history is funny. “G League! Most NBA ready! Preparing him to be a pro! Coached by NBA assistant Brian Shaw! Going against actual NBA talent! Cade and Evan are in the NCAA against guys who will be working 9-5!” Honestly, some of you sound like the way the ten KPJ fans sounded. Deep in that filing cabinet! So on and on we go… Game by game Green threads will be bumped by both sides Those saying I told you so, trade him while he still has perceived value, he sucks And those saying I told you so after he has a hot shooting night from three “He is him! Be patient! Breakout is coming!”
Still seeing multiple times most games, he refuses to pass the ball to Sengun and instead will ruin the offense to give it to someone else. The absolute pinnacle of atrociousness of him doing this was the first quarter when Sengun was open at the top of the key - right next to him - but instead he wanted to pass it 4m to the side of the guy on the other side of the court. Then when he does pass it to Sengun it's a horrible pass in the middle of traffic which should've never been made anyway. Yawn. Rinse and repeat with this kid. I don't even think he actually would know the definition of consistency even if he was asked it in an interview... not like we'd understand his answer anyway.
