It's not the worst idea but the execution seemed underwhelming. Regular games that count toward something else and slap a new court together. Kind of crazy that's all they could come up with, seeming as though it was a necessity to do something. Quite sure NBA fans could've come up with something better and that includes the court design.
Love that we're playing Denver a lot. It's accelerating this team's chemistry and development. We've looked good against them considering we were projected to be a 30-win team. Even without Murray they have looked like a good WC team. They've been a very useful barometer for us to make sure our wins are not a fluke. "We might split the season series with the unhealthy Nuggets" is a good place to be in 15 games into the season. Maybe it's an omen that we're going to face them in the playoffs. Would be amazing experience for our young players' first playoff series. Really good for Sengun/Jabari to go up against Jokic/Gordon. They'll come out better players, learn a lot from those two.
let's hope this was just the pilot program for the tournament. I think they are trying to condition people to the idea before it breaks away and becomes a detached competition. Tournament games should never be counted as a regular season record. It should be more focused for opportunities for young players to show themselves out. Maybe in the Semi-Finals / Final you see the 1st team compete.
