Our Jalen is just getting ready... We have to be patient until his 6th pro year. Everybody is foolishly overlooking the fact that he is in the process of adjustment to the pro scene. .
I'm a team first fan, but the problem is our team doesn't really exist without Jalen flaunting his star power...
Except it is considered exploitative because: NCAA made over 1.1 billion, and have rights to the player's names, images etc. The players do not see any of this money. Players are not legally allowed to be paid in any compensation until the Supreme Court ruled against this in 2021, allowing players to earn endorsement deals. Literally, the highest court in the US ruled that the players are being exploited. It's not up for debate that it's exploitative, only the extent of the exploitation.
Everything changes.....as you said the courts are aware of this The exploitations have nothing to do with players gaining or learning skills on their way to the NBA.....which this thread is about..... Making money is fine but the league's stars are getting weaker by the generation.....it is visible that the Euro stars are gradually coming over here.... Chet is one of a very few guys that are still Old School. I am not surprised that young folks deem Jalen Green is Kobe, they have rarely watched Kobe...... Jalen Green would have troubles staying on the court going against the Shaqs, the Mournings, the Duncans, the Dikembes, .......the Yaos When Embiid is your MVP, this league has watered down considerably....
This betrayal against Jalen is beyond my comprehension. We have a star of the next generation on our hands. Tragically, he isn't appreciated. It is now an offence to defend our star. Nothing can hurt us more than to disqualify our generational star player for an outsider from a strange country...
Irony? You must be one of the fools that think anyone that supports all our young players is a player only fan. We know you are a Green heavy fan, it’s ok. But don’t think others think in your simple minded way of thinking.
When Jalen adds another 10-15 lbs on his frame he will jump to 25 PPG. He will be able to really start to punish all the rookies and old guys in the league with his drive to the basket and become a foul magnet. Hopefully he takes this part seriously because he will need to become quite durable. Availability is the best ability. I expected around 22-5-4 from Jalen this year on better efficiency. He is only 1 more made three a game to exceed that average. Playing next to FVV was always going to be an adjustment for him. I'm really excited to see what we look like 2-3 years when hopefully FVV can transition into a backup and we have an Amen-Green backcourt. Amen in some way is theoretically perfect guard to play next to Green, especially defensively. We have an amazing young core of players and the fact some posters already want to blow it up because they're bored is discouraging. We could be watching a young OKC team and not even know it. Sports time is the most fleeting, so enjoy it now. Enjoy Green's microwave quarters while you can.
Statements like this kinda suggest otherwise: You can tell as much about a person by what they push back against as what they promote. But go ahead...
Logical fallacy my guy. I’m trolling a troll. You are a Green only fan so you took it as a slight against your favorite player. You can’t find one post where I’ve denigrated any of our young core. Sorry, I’m a Rocket fan meanwhile you’re pining over a specific player or player type.
I think players who play professionally as a teenager in European leagues actually learn to be a professional athlete more so than G-league or NCAA. They are actually playing on the same teams with real pros and not just the minor leaguers. This is probably why talented foreign players tend to break out sooner in the NBA.
Absolutely 12 minute stretches are wonderful but you’ll take consistent 3-4 minute outputs all the same. Just feels like he needs to hit this super saiyan level once a game. For once this team was feeding a hot hand too, if anything was as beautiful as JG on fire it was the team acknowledging it and saying here’s the rock. It doesn’t always have to be FVV and Sengun carrying the yoke. Jabari looks primed for a mini breakout like this too. Man if a guy is feeling it let him cook. Make the opponents call time and adjust or eat these buckets. You can worry about balance when there’s not a hot hand, but if someone is looking at the rim and seeing a hula hoop get em the ball. Force, intention, whatever you want to call it. He looked possessed. He looked in control, like I’m gonna run to that spot and put a 3 in your face and then DID IT.
I like the Spanish league, the Greek and Italian league especially next to the Euro League. Turkish league is alright as well. German league is up and coming with how they played in World Cup (Ibaka joining it)
