He's almost assuredly 6'5. Thought so when I first saw him live.

They would score in the paint. That is our only weak spot, we can't stop the opposition from scoring in the paint.

    We need more size

Can we please move Bullock? His pigtails last night had me mildly nauseous-- reminded me of dead gut. And seems like we will need some minutes for Amen and Cam.

Cam is a legit 6-7 like Alperen is a legit 6-11.

    :D

I'll give it to them, with shoes. More like 6-5.5 and 6-9.5... (Not that it matters. Hoopers hoop...)

It's all getting confusing now. Jalen Green looks barely shorter than Amen but he's 6'3 apparently. So Amen's 6'4, Cam's 6'1. FVV is 4'11.

Not second guessing Udoka, an excellent hc, but it's time to consistently give a few minutes of pt to Whitmore. Dude is a ball of energy, and has the makings of an instant scorer, something every team needs.

I don’t see what the rush is. Cam is 19. We need to find out what we have in Jalen after two years in a bad developmental situation. Jalen is more efficient this year, shooting 36 % from 3, better defender, and he’s playing better team basketball. He’s been very inconsistent, and that’s the next step he has to take. But we need to keep playing him. Holiday has been a nice surprise as a veteran back up. We’ve got a log jam at 3 with Dillon, Tari and Tate.

I’m all for getting Cam some backup minutes, but I trust Ime and I don’t see the need to rush Cam along.

We are 500 a quarter of the way through the season, without any contribution from our 2023 picks. I say things are going pretty well.

I concur and we should all trust Ime and his staff to cultivate the very best version of Cam. Now is an excellent time to leverage Whitmore's youthful inexperience in order to help him to fully buy into playing Udoka's brand of basketball going forward. Honestly Cam and Amen are so fortunate to have Ime at the helm from the onset of their careers. It's nice knowing that a coach of Udoka's caliber is the one tasked with this mission of ours. To infinity and beyond, boys!

Well, they were both measured at 6'5.75" at the combine (barefoot). They seem to be the same height in all the pics I've seen, I think. What's weird is that Cam outweighed Amen by over 20 lbs at the combine. Maybe he's leaned out a bit since then.

I hope even if Amen doesn't hit as a PG, he becomes an Ausar-type with more playmaking. With Cam, I'm praying his 3-pt ability is for real and his ability/willingness to pass is good and sticks. I hope both of their ability to dribble and dribble in traffic without turning the ball over improves. And Amen needs to hit some jumpers, too.

But my feeling is for those who want to see more of Cam is that that wont happen until Cam has some time to work with the current rotation. And that cant happen when he is in G-league.

So I expect his stints with the G-league team to stop when Ime thinks he has made enough progress to fit into the rotation somehow.

I think when we are having extreme difficulty scoring from the outside, he should get playing time to energize the transition game and hopefully hit a few threes. There is no rush. I think he and Amen will both get solid rotation minutes about halfway through the season. Holiday has been ok, but he should be a third option at pg before the season is over.

What are you basing this on?

We have the 4th ranked “opponents points in the paint per game” in the NBA. We allow 43.4 points in the paint per game. Minnesota with Rudy Gobert gives up 43.2.

Come on guys. Paint defense is a lot more nuanced than size. Hell, look at the Spurs right now. Look at GSW when Draymond is starting, look at Miami with Bam.

Last year we were dead last in opponent 3-point percentage. This year we started off pretty well, but have been steadily falling. Teams now shooting 40.6% against us from three. If ANYTHING, we need to get our damn wings and guards out on shooters again, but it is a tricky balance to strike, especially for young players.

I prefer that Cam gets all the minutes he can playing for the G League for their season. We can see at the end of the NBA season, especially if we are competing for the playoffs, if we can integrate him or if there's an injury.

Considering the circumstances, Cam needs to be playing at least 15 minutes a night in the NBA right now. Not headed back down.

Jalen needs competition - Cam is the competition, best player plays, other one sits.

Age, draft position, none of that matters.

I'm pretty sure it's because they still want Cam to learn what's going on on the court and Amen's down there with him because he's coming off an injury. Probably the only reason Cam was up here is because the Vipers had a gap in the schedule with time off, so he may as well sit and practice with the Rockets.
