I dunno, he got a lot of touches in fourth but he just passed it off. He had opportunities and didn't seem to want them. I don't know if this is worthy of criticism...maybe he knew he didn't have it tonight and chose to defer to his teammates. But he had opportunities.

Well you mean he hasn't matched his away form with his home game form yet. He doesn't seem to get the ball on the road in the fourth quarter.

Jalen has improved this year, especially defensively, he is on track to becoming a decent player. If you thought he would be Kobe or even Booker, a franchise player, maybe that’s why you want him traded because that’s setting yourself up for disappointment. Beal or Lavine, a third option on decent to mediocre teams is the more likely outcome. We are also finding out that he can’t be trusted in big games, or in the clutch, he does not have the mental toughness.

The 4th comes along and VanVleet and Sengun get most of the ball. Sengun was dominant and i'm fine with playing through him, but use Jalen as well. Use his speed.

All I got to say is, the reactions on Jalen's game are just as streaky as his shooting has been. Hopefully as he gets more consistent, especially on the road, the fans will slowly come to a consensus on his game and his future.

I'm definitely on team improvement though!

Jalen dribbled the ball off his foot the one time he got it. I’m not comfortable with him getting the ball when possessions matter, let him cook in the first 3 quarters.

Jalen Green reeks of 6th man type off the bench scoring role player. His efficiency may improve if he ever learns any counters or builds up his body but his defense, while improved this year because of coaching, will never reach the point where you can rely on him on a serious contending team. He just has really low bbiq, his ceiling is basically a Jordan Poole but less trash talking.

He is quite literally shooting us out of games right now along with his horrid defense because teams are starting to realize he is the weakest link on our team. Just tonight alone, watch how any times the Mavs switched Green onto Kyrie and Luka and they just cooked him easily. Luka literally walked to the rim multiple times with no resistance when Jalen was on him.

Also, this isn't the first time he's turned the ball over in crucial moments. We saw it happen time and time again last year and the year before and it's still happening this year. Stop giving him the damn ball in that time, at the very least FVV should always be handling the rock in crunch time.

Is he a bust? Well, he's a bust for a #2 overall pick but is he gonna be playing in China soon? No.

Once in every 8 games he will score 35pts and fool you into believing that he's the 2nd coming of Kobe. Brave people like me, the rebels who were forced the live in the shadows, then will show up to remind you that he's an inconsistent, mentally weak individual who can not be trusted. The fascists will try to hush us up, attack us again and we will retreat to our caves. Then they will approach you with a smile on their faces and bunch of candies like a pedo approaching a kid on the street and tell you that it's ok, you don't need to be worried he'll flourish next year. The ****ing next year. Just remember us and don't forget to follow the white rabbit.

I wish i could come to cf and talk about Jalens clutch defense and block on Luka late in the 4th.

Instead its just a steady barrage of hate filled comments. A ton of low iq, low effort name calling and blame gaming.

We are fastly transitioning from a terrible team to a competetive team right in front of our eyes. No one can appreciate the growth and process.

Every win is a circle jerk high and every loss is a shiit throwing storm.

Is he the only player not allowed to make mistakes?

He had back to back stops on Kyrie and Luka, that was fun to see. I didn't like how both times the Mavs scored right after (both of which were not on him). Jalen's always been an underrated on-ball defender though

He is allowed to but why would we force the ball to someone who isn’t reliable in the clutch? We are trying to win games.

Luka and Kyrie cooked everyone nearly every game. the turnover was with 6 minutes to go and then later he did a block late in the game to get the ball back.

For whatever reason people seem to be extra incendiary in regards to their opinions on Jalen Green. I don't really get it either

Yeah i was really pleased with his defense late. It was great defense which both lead to unfortunate bounces against us. But seeing THIS defense from Jalen is so encouraging compared to year 1 or year 2.

Sure, i want him to be more efficient on offense, but the past few games he hasn't been getting FTs. That's likely because we are focusing in on Sengun more. Maybe he's not being as aggressive. But in noticing less calls on his drives, maybe he needs to look to create more contact.

But its obvious he is focusing on his wnergy and improvement on defense, as that is our team philosophy.

Hes impacting the game when he's not scoring well. I am pleased with that.

Jalen obviously has the talent to be a superstar.

What will prevent him from becoming one is the lack of basketball IQ, awareness, feel for the game, and killer mentality. These intangibles can’t be taught. You either have it or you don’t. It’s what separates a guy like Zach LaVine from an Anthony Edwards.

Jalen can continue to score 30+ every once in a while, but it won’t change anything.

The real debate should be who between Amen or Cam will be the cornerstone guy alongside Alpi. (With Jabari and Tari as the core supporting pieces)

I'm also encouraged by his unselfishness. Yes, it turns into passivity sometimes, but he's more than willing to let his teammates cook. That bodes well for him being able to play in a winning environment, even though I do feel that he needs to be more proactive in getting himself into (and keeping) a good rhythm on offense.

Lots to criticize, lots to be happy about. Pretty par for the course for a young, high draft pick. At least we're not in a full-blown meltdown like what's happening with the Pistons online community and Cade

But the moment he turned that over the die was cast and we had lost the game. . . . . . SMH.

When he went out at the end of the third we were up 4. When he came back in we were down 1. That too was his fault. He has stuff to work on but he is not the only one on the team. I honestly dont want to be on here defending him, but it just feels out of control. In terms of improvement I could make a laundry list for every player on the team why are some posters hyper fixated on Green?

He was scared of the ball in the 4th and usually passed it out immediately. He had zero confidence down the stretch.
