I mean the only other option is to pay him a super duper max, first of it's kind.

 

Look at that. Udoka is so confident in Jalen, instead of cutting down his minutes or looks, he inspires him to take better shots and attack more aggressively. Played good defense too. FVV also helped. We need a volume scorer like that who is not a negative on the defensive end so investing in his development is so worthwhile. 25 efficient points and non-negative defense would be perfect for this starting lineup.

We are really hard to beat when Jalen has it going. He confidently put that team away in the 4th quarter. Udoka said he thinks Jalen will continue to improve in these areas. That's great to hear.

I think he will continue to improve gradually for a while. The PnR with Sengun will get better and better. They just need to keep working on his finishing and keep getting experience playing good defense on a consistent basis. Udoka is militant with shot selection so I think he'll get Jalen to an efficient place soon enough. I'm a big believer in this staff's development capabilities.

Let's see if he can have a few good games in a row and gather momentum. Jalen Green is doing everything better this season except finishing on drives (still getting to the FT line though). We're 10-15 games away from seeing what he can do in a winning situation after some good teammates, coaching and mentorship for the first time ever in his career. The chemistry will be good and his execution will be much improved soon.

I see everyone jumping on the Jalen Green bandwagon. I'm staying consistent on my stance: trade him for Donovan Mitchell when he becomes available

 

My views on your proposal aside, it just aint gonna happen.
Trading any of the starters is unlikely in the near future.

 

If we continue to win and Jalen Green is not consistent with his play, it could become a financial matter on trading him to prevent a case of the market dictates he'll get $30M per year contract.

 

Phenomenal play by Jalen. I'm loving the chemistry between Jalen & FVV. I can tell Freddy's been in Jalen's ear giving him confidence, the more confident Jalen is the farther this team goes

 

If he is not consistent with his play, why would anyone trade an established scorer like Mitchell for him?
