So you did decide to watch the 2nd half? So you did end up watching 2nd half? Interesting that you were the only one commenting yet claim to not be able to watch any more
Yes, I did watch the second half. I decided to suffer through some pretty garbage basketball. But since we're being interesting and literal, I did say "I don't think" I could watch any more. All I kept seeing after watching the game was how great Cam was and a bunch of tweets and retweets with no substance other than some stats, so I commented. Weird for you to say I was the only one commenting, though. That would be ... false. I once said I was sick of something, but wasn't really sick. Probably also "interesting". For future reference, if I show disgust at something, I will say other things that probably shouldn't be taken literally unless you truly do find them interesting and it makes you happy. As long as I'm capable of watching the RGV G-League games, I'll keep watching and suffering ... for you, my people.
God, I hope Cam pans out because we really need scoring off the bench. Amen just ain't it and I've been watching the Pistons. Ausar has been great defensively but on the offensive end he is so terrible, it's not a surprise Pistons are losing so much. I feel like playing Amen at this point (when he's healthy) is a detriment to our team's success because of how lacking he is offensively.
We haven't really seen Amen at all. He was a beast in summer league, and in the regular season the games he played the whole team looked pretty awful, we were calling for FVV's head those first few games, and once they had a few more practices and in game adjustments the whole team looked better. Amen has an advantage over Jalen and Jabari in that he has Ime and his staff from the beginning to help his development early.
The future be damned. It's all about this year. Someone off the bench this year instead of Amen will likely be the difference between winning it all or not. So developing PG Amen and SF Whitmore that could potentially form the most athletic PG/SG/SF rotation of all time is dumb. He aint it!
I just found it interesting that a rickets player was playing good and getting good tweets posted so you decided enough if that, I am going to post his bad plays. I'm pretty sure one of the clips you pointed to was a 3 to.close out a quarter that he missed but like 40 sec earlier had hit a 3 which you totally ignored so it just seemed like you took the call to lead the cam smaer campaign bc he was getting too many props. That's a odd thing to me coming from a fan of a team regarding one of its players
So don't post his bad plays, just his good plays. Got it. Go check the draft thread and see how badly I wanted this dude. Smear campaign. lol. Please. Regarding the "but he hit a 3!" comment, again, I clearly stated "here's something you won't see on a Cam Whitmore highlight reel" because everything posted before that was nothing but highlights, as if no mistakes were being made. There're entire highlight reels of him doing great plays. That 3 where he shot it to "close out the 3rd quarter" was obviously early in the shot clock. It gave the other team a chance to run back, get a shot at the end of the quarter, and Cam got called for a foul on that shot. Or are you just going to ignore that? And I watched his prior games except for the most recent one. So, yes, I see the good - now I want to see if he's that good, why isn't he on the big team? It's called being a fan without being blind and looking at just the positive plays he's making. Maybe if you look at his negative plays as well, you can get an understanding of why he's not with the Rockets. There should be nothing "odd" about this. If there is, that's on you wanting to see just highlights instead of asking for both sides. Which would really be odd. I still love the dude and his potential just as much as I did on draft day, but I'll try to balance the Twitter accounts that act like his final stats and highlights are all that matter with, I don't know, some reality? I'm willing to wait it out on him just like I'm willing to wait it out on our other young players, so no "smear campaign because he was getting too many props" (lol). More like a "he's doing some great things but also making mistakes" campaign.
Cam had a pretty decent game tonight from the looks of it (can't watch the game), but RGV couldn't stop Osceola worth a damn. Former Rockets legend Trevelin Queen put up 37 on us, Jett Howard threw in 34, Mac McClung added 25, etc. Cam's bombing away from 3, though. I hope this time it stays when they bring him back up. On one play they showed, Cam made a layup, got the ball after it went through for a bucket and bounced it off the side of Queen's head and almost started a fight. lolol.
17 assists in 4 games in the g league. Notable when compared to the 19 assists in in 26 games in college.
Hes good, just needs to mature. I seen him pop trevlin queen in the head with a basketball after an and1
