    Chilling article in the December issue of Scientific American. I for one do not want a nuclear holocaust.

    Under the model, only the land based silos are attacked and not civilian or industrial centers. The model shows a million people would die from the immediate fallout and up to 300 million Americans will experience excess exposure to the fallout which would result in radiation sickness and long term risks of developing cancers.
