I had a post earlier in this thread where I talked about how nice it was that CJ was a QB that didn't hang his WRs out to dry, putting them in position to take big hits. And then that play happened where Tank got annihilated on a poor throw by CJ. I thought for sure I jinxed things. I'm so glad Tank got back out there. That dude is tough as nails to bounce back from that hit with as small a frame as he has.

    Fyi, throw was fine.

Tank stumbled out of his break.

I thought it was a bad ball too.

Not worried about CJ falling off as his game isn’t predicated on athleticism or trick RPO RG3 stuff. Get him better weapons, upgrade the IOL and fix the running game and look the F out!!

One of the best signings in the offseason that has gone overlooked and is so underrated is the Case Keenum signing. He has been huge for the development of CJ.

This is probably overblown. Colin admitted weeks ago he was wrong. He even has a segment where, "Colin was right, Colin was wrong." People are eager to throw people under the bus instead of coming to an agreement.

Posters still attack Cmoak after admitting being wrong. Get over it! CJ and the Texans are getting national praise. Embrace it.

    This.

You can tell Case is loving his job right now. He’s always celebrating like crazy when we score a TD.

I’ve watched this about 5 times now. Pause this at 28 seconds to see when Stroud releases the ball. There are 4 players he has to throw over. Woods is barely in the frame. Stroud is being chased by a lineman, then he teleports the ball to where Woods will be in a half second.

    That’s not football, it’s wizardry.

At a minimum, it raises the suspicion of score manipulation by those gambling interests the NFL is now in bed with.

100% agree, but I seriously doubt CJ will flatline or fall off a cliff.

What must be remembered is QB development in the NFL is never linear (except for Mahomes). This season, CJ will have 2-3 more setbacks on his way up and we shouldn't flip out when he does. This is a necessary part of the process.

I know Stroud's done it a few times but I seriously can't recall the last time he just dinked it to a RB outside of a screen play. Our plays are that explosive. He's always looking downfield.

JT (QB School) talked about this in his video. He actually thinks it’s almost impossible to be better and that the only real difference for Stroud will be weapons. Apparently his mechanics, anticipation, processing, and poise are elite level.

He basically made it seem that his regression would be shocking at this point.

Texans have to win 10+ games and the division to give CJ a good chance at getting MVP. I really want to see that in my lifetime, why not CJ?

I didn't think this was Stroud's best game in terms of accuracy and seeing the field will take it day in day out :) Dell also struggled - Noah was the star in this one but that is a great thing. Lot of receivers touched the ball.

Maybe I'm not remembering it right but my recollection was the ball was behind him. If he stumbled out of his break I would have thought the throw would be in front of him.

    This was at extension.

Ball is at worst maybe a bit high. He stumbled, and had zero height at time of the catch. You can see the angle of his legs as compared to his body... Tried to jump mid stumble and got that look.

Throw was on the money in my opinion.

Here is another look of him out of his break.

Looks like he has to catch himself subtly.
