Closeted? He's out and proud. I'm betting he owns at least 2 flags, 3 bumper stickers and possibly a window decal. Definitely has a "Let's Go Brandon" sticker somewhere on his vehicle. This dude is firmly in the cult and I hope he can receive the help needed to get out of it some day.

so Biden is not responsible for the billions in weapons sent to kill people? Those lives don't matter, thanks for the reminder yall are insane in self justification.

Same reason all submarines look alike. Given the requirements of long range, high payload, subsonic flight, a flying wing will turn up again and again when optimizing for those characteristics.

Iran retaliated the general's assassination by bombing our bases in Iraq. It seems choreographed in the sense that no Americans died, but Trump had every reason to pursue it further if he wanted.

The year before, Iran downed a 200m American spy plane in international waters and also attacked Saudi refineries in response to Saudi actions in the war in Yemen. Plenty of reasons for us to respond before the assassination but nothing.

I don't doubt that general was responsible for killing American servicemen in the middle east, even if we got flak for it internationally.

I doubt Trump makes far sighted decisions and he'd prob avoid and appease at all costs to avoid kinetic fighting while speaking a big game. He'd rather keep the burning house standing for as long as he can for the next guy to fix...

This feels like 1984. China is good again. Russia is bad again. Muslims and Arabs are bad again. We were always at war with Eurasia.

As Xi Heads to San Francisco, Chinese Propaganda Embraces America
After years of anti-American propaganda, the softer, warmer depiction of relations with the United States has left some Chinese social media users confused or amused.

I think this is China recognizing it has major economic problems and potentially damaging a relationship with a huge market is not a great idea any longer.

Acting like the US just started sending "Billions of Dollars" in weapons to other countries to commit atrocities and trying to put that all on Biden.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahah. and further more acting like I, and many other support that decision.... BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

You can put that directly on the backs of the entire US government. All of it. Past and present. Its all of them. Its not the Biden gotcha you've tried to pull twice. As a country we've been slinging Arms around the world like the CIA was slinging crack in the 80s. Doesn't matter if many of us would prefer Healthcare and Education prioritized over weapons and military. Hmmm, which side favors those 2 things more than the other side? But does it matter?

A prime example, 2/3 of the American population wants a cease fire in Gaza. Only 4% of congressional members voted to call for one (all democrats by the way). The vote definitely wasn't skewed like that because the Republicans wanted to help Biden and cut off the supply of money and weapons. They're all war mongers for profit! Will of the people be damned!

IF WW!!! breaks out there will be blood on the hands of the US government. All of it, past, present and unfortunately future! From Trump to Biden, from Mitch to Nancy. All of them. The profit in war is more delicious to them than the blood of innocents is repulsive.

Sorry your Biden gotcha's haven't been working. You're delusional if you think I'm a Biden/Democrat fan boy and think selling weapons all over the world is acceptable. You know nothing of me. Try again.

Yeah, both sides are too interconnected economically to afford a real war. The term Managed Competition is slowly becoming more frequent in foreign policy circles.

The biggest q is whether 70 yr old Xi is serious about retaking Taiwan within his lifetime...

I’m all for peace but as OutKast said

‘Every time I, uh, try to get a peace of mind
N**** try to get a piece of mine
So I gotta grab my piece’

If only it were as profitable. Then peace may stand a chance.

It makes me a little nervous. I trust the Chinese government as far as I can spit. Heck, not that far. They have their reasons for this and you can bet that sincere "goodwill" isn't any part of it. Heck, it could even be related to the 2024 election. "Biden soft on China!!" screaming from the GOP. They would be doing that anyway, but they have no evidence. Perhaps Xi is hoping to produce some.
