That's fair I like Olynk. But I think people are being a little unfair expecting Landale to be the same player straight away. He'll get better.
Landale will improve I'd be happy to blow some 2nds on an Olynk for a year. But no way we should be giving up a 1st for a backup C. Landale will come good imo. Even if it takes a year.

We most definitely need a backup big. Landale feels too much like Theis to me...Just too slow, soft and useless. I'd look to bring back Capela, he should be our primary target. Atl needs to clear playing time for their new center, and Clint has ties here (I even saw some tweets of him saying he would like to be back). He shores up our bench defense, and gives us a consistent pick and roll lob threat. I don't know what would ATL want for him, but I'd be willing to throw some picks to make it happen.
I'll give Jock a chance still (and I'm saying this as an Aussie), but I wouldve rather us gotten a big like Javale. And also add a lethal 3pt shooter - Seth Curry or Danny Green (would that be too many Greens??)
Our starting lineup is pretty solid. Jabari could be a bit more consistent, but no need to look externally for upgrade options. Our bench needs help, but beyond back-up C the improvements are likely organic. Amen will take over the backup PG minutes from Holiday, Cam will add scoring, Eason will get into his rhythm. Happy to be a bit patient with Landale given his lack of game fitness, but I don’t feel confident he is the long-term answer to the backup C role. I’d like to have an option that can do the things that Sengun isn’t great at. However, I wouldn’t break the bank this year using valuable draft picks for a 15-20 mins bench role. Hartenstein, Biyombo, Bamba, Bitadze, Bryant, Hayes will be FAs in the summer. If any of them could be had for a SRP or two this year, I’d go for it, but happy to give Landale another 20 games before deciding on the need for an upgrade.
