    To the rest of you super blasé bros who instantly break into giga-hackneyed stream of boring when anyone deigns to mention the In Season Tourney in your presence - read no further

    It is very important for the Pelicans to beat the Mavericks tonight to begin to clear West Group B of unbeaten teams.

    It would also help if LAC beats Den, but....

    Unfortunately last Sunday's game did not count. But in our best case, it will probably come down to Houston - Denver for Group B Supremacy - then it's pray for the Wild Card

    The mid-season tournament would be the highest achievement of Tilmans ownership tenure. This is potential prestige unlike what you proles are used to, and thus you shy away from it like roaches to bright light.

    Things i need to see right now as Rockets IST head:

    - need Seth Curry and Jaden Hardy to score meaningless buckets to cut into the NO point diff
    .- need Rockets legends to step up v. Denver (unlikely, but we need it
    - unclear how we need POR-UTH to shake out for wild card optimization - I've requested the folks from the DataLab take a look

    It doesn't really matter, they would not let up as the rest are all regular season games even if they lose 3 Ist games and win the rest of the RS games.

    Well, well, well, the Los Angeles Clippers, aka, The Expendables franchise if it were a basketball team - nearly did us a solid last night and took down Denver but couldn't quite close the deal.

    Now we get the worst of both worlds, a motivated Clipper team on Friday, plus no margin for error vs. the Nugz.

    Nobody said IST business was easy. That's what makes it great.

    All right my fellow tournbuckles

    Here's what we need tonight

    Win v LAC (obviously)
    NO w Denver (but not by a lot)

    As far as wild card, check back later, I have the boys down in the mainframe room working on it.

    My initial assessment is we need a Utah loss v PhX and a Sac loss v SAS - so everybody - Pray for Victor
