The ‘deal’ with Landale is that he’s a walking $8mm salary match to be traded. I’m sure the Rox are thrilled if in the meantime he’s is a serviceable 2nd or 3rd big, but let’s not overthink this.
I agree that many takes on him are heavily biased. But so is yours, just in the opposite direction than most others.

This game may be where someone like Landale serves his purpose, where he can use his size and heft to tire Jokic out. Jokic doesn't have an issue with athletic shot blockers like AD, Kevin Looney but the one game they lost were vs Minny with Gobert, Towns and Naz Reid.
Is Landale still injured? Dude sucks. Even Udoka is getting fed up with him 5 mins last game, 2 mins this game.
Give him a break guys, new team and working himself into shape. Probably another 10 games till he's 99% himself. Good defender, good rebounder, good at picks, hustles hard, almost a decent shooter. If there's a clear upgrade at the deadline I wouldn't hesitate but we have a good player in Jock.
In Europe, he shot .373 on 233 attempts from three. I would keep encouraging him to shoot it with confidence, because the jumper looks clean, and that is how he is going to stick in the league. If Jock Landale can't hit 35%+ of his threes, I don't love the career trajectory.
Landale seems to be out of the rotation now. I have yet to see him make an impressive play. Everyone else on the bench contributes somehow, but Landale just seems to be a body out there. Not really involved on either side of the court. Really hope he can give us decent minutes because I don't want Uncle Jeff to have to play too much.

Its been said of Ime that guys have to earn minutes. So, if they are not getting any minutes and/or reduced minutes, we know what exactly what that means.
