Think Memphis still believes they outgrew needing Brooks on the team?

Guys definitely a heel but his energy changes games.

I don’t understand MEM, they overtinkered so much.
3 seasons ago they beat GSW and made the playoffs, looking like a team on the rise. Since then they turned over most everyone on the roster: Valancunias, Dillon, Melton, Tuys Jones, Grayson Allen, Kyle Anderson — all quality players, currently contributing to other teams. Most of them as starters.

What was the point? Why did they get rid of all 0f them? To be 1-8 now three years later? There is an important lesson here. If you have a good team, try to keep it.

FVV, Jeff Green and Brooks all lead by example.

This team is not a one man show in leadership or otherwise.

Definitely bizarre, but personally I’m appreciative. Count me as a Dillon fan. He’s Pat Beverly in a bigger body.

No cap, Fred is a great veteran presence and a leader. But it’s clear to me that Brooks is the leader of this squad. He leads by example and by charisma. Just a dog, perfect h-town player. Heart hands.

Brooks is great. FVV is great. There will be times that their office is in efficient, but their other qualities negate that and more. So they are + players. Include Green, Older Green, Sengun in that group as well.

Then you mix in Holiday and Smith doing nice things and you end up 5-3. I like Tari a ton but I do have a bit if concern about his offensive outlook outside of the 3ball. I really want to see him passing either when he does manage to penetrate inside, or after offensive rebounds.

    Udoka is the leader
Ben Sullivan is also a leader
Fred van vleet , uncle Jeff , and Tate are also leaders
    You can have multiple leaders
But Dillon the villain is like the anti hero that our guys rally around because his supreme confidence

The youngsters needed a real dog to show them how to do it. Dillon is far from perfect, but it’s not for a lack of heart or effort. No more Lord of the Flies.
