In DEFENSE of Alperen Sengun - Analysis on why Sengun may already be an above average defender

Pretty sure it was way more the latter than the former. Plenty of people hardcore stan'd Sengun last season, but only hakeem94 got the treatment they got. No one cares how right someone is if they carry on in a way that makes one care about their message.

 

She used racist remarks and regularly put up pictures of Hitler.........she could not help herself.

Simping for Alperen is the least of her vices.

 

Thing is, you can say the same about others on the team the last couple of years as well. Why do you think Silas was so universally hated across the fandom?

 

Yes, they did fail all the rookies badly, but the way they treated them were not the same.

There were different layers to it. They wanted to develop Green but they were simply incompetent at doing that. but they realized the talent and accepted it.

With Alpi it is a whole different story. They can't even see the talent, the potential and they refused to develop him, proposing to replace him with Bruno Fernando. The kpj injury happened in game, and because of that Alpi could force himself into being a playmaker. Even after seeing that they refused to use him. And if that injury was not in game, they wouldn't ever try sengun in that way. Coach thought it is best if Alpi doesn't shoot 3s, a tanking team, the worst team in the whole league doesn't let a young player to shoot 3s. These are on a different level.

 

He/she also claimed that Sengun was already great enough and there's no need to improve on his outside shot. That has not been proven right yet. Most people including myself would say that for Sengun to be a "great" (not just good) player, he absolutely needs to have a reliable outside shot.
