Another steady and consistent vet. He's so far been everything I thought Reggie Bullock would be. Holiday and Jeff Green (wasn't sure he had much left in tank) have really surprised me. I feel comfortable when they come into the game because I know that they aren't going to do anything to hurt the team and, in most instances have been positive player makers and finishers.
He is a better fit right now at the NBA level - and makes the Rox team better overall - but Amen needs reps and it isn't that much of a difference. DD
Agree, I was being a bit facetious, but I really like Holidays impact and hope we can let Amen develop slowly or even get some bonding time with Whitmore.
Aaron Holiday absolutely looks like a huge difference from Amen. I like Amen and definitely want him to get reps, but Holiday has been steady as a back up PG and playing some really good defense. Either way, I think Ime has a legit 9 man rotation he can run once Amen gets back. PG: FVV/Thompson SG: Green/Holiday SF: Brooks/Tate PF: Smith/Eason C: Sengun That's solid man. It's great to finally be enjoying Rockets basketball again.
Holiday has been a revelation. I would add Jeff Green as a 10th man. He's played well on both ends. I think I want a 10 man rotation to help save our players legs throughout the season.
I knew I was forgetting somebody. Jeff Green is definitely deserving of the 10th man spot. If anything at least we don't have to rely on Jeff/Aaron as much so they can not be broken by the end of the season.
I still remember how many people were confusing him for Jrue when we first got him. Turns out they were right.
Who would have thought that a solid, proven NBA vet would come in here and do what he has been doing his whole career?? Shocking stuff. Marginally better than having Nix as 3rd string PG?
sign/extend him for multiple years. his salary-output ratio is much needed when the youngsters starts getting paid big money/or stars with big salaries come in
