There are plenty of Christians who would consider modern day American evangelicalism to have fringe beliefs.

He is arguing, from an evangelical complementarian standpoint, that women were created to help men, not lead them. Therefore, a woman should not run for president because by doing so she violates what he perceives is the natural order.

I think he's trying to say that's how republicans should feel...or something.

it's not really coherent, even as it is blatantly sexist.

It's subtle, but two roles of equal value with different roles with completeness in union between male and female.

Will I stop seeing sexism and racism if I do? I shouldn't just pick on republicans because others can be influenced by racist and sexist prejudices too. Republicans might be a little more prone to the kind that will make them shy away from a female Indian as president though. Republicans have more @Marshall Bryant s in their voter base.

Democrats will have plenty to run against Haley but she still has to make it through the Republican primaries which I think will be very difficult for her.

I don't? No one denomination should level accusations like this against fellow Christians. You can critique tenets, practices, dogma, etc. but not the sincerity of those who could call themselves your brothers in faith.

This is complete nonsense. From the article:

“They’re just saying, as King did in 1963, that our response to these failures shouldn’t be to toss the ideals aside, as many on the political left would like us to do, but instead to strive harder to meet them.”

The left doesn’t want to toss the ideals aside and the right doesn’t want to strive harder to meet them.

The left wants to expose that the ideals are not being met while the right says they are and if you feel otherwise it’s the sole fault of minorities.

I am sure this is getting written into the gop playbook, bash the age, but be careful trump isn't that far behind uncle joe. Now to be fair, its a plausible reality and people will have to take this into consideration. If trump were to win (LORD help us all) you would have the same scenario so be careful how you play this out

Correct... I think she has just a slightly better chance at getting the republican nomination than I do. Of course, it's easier for me to lie about my background and my political positions than it is for haley to change the things that make it hard for republicans to vote for her.

I hope for the betterment of our country that Haley is the nominee. It will be good for Democracy to have Haley as the nominee vs a fascist dictator in training.

If Haley beats Joe Biden, Kamala, or whomever, I'll sleep perfectly well at night knowing that it's still likely that we can vote her out in 4 years if she sucks.

If Trump wins it's game over.

(Side point: Do not lose sight of what Tubberville is doing with the military nominations. I think there's a scheme here to allow Trump to flood the military with MAGA candidates all at once with these vacancies.)
