Ime literally called 2 timeouts last night to stop Jalen from going ISO - he is still struggling with learning to play off the ball and let it come to him.

He may never get it....but if he does he will explode.

    Wtf are you talking about?

The coaching staff wants Green to be aggressive.

It's time to think about moving Jalen because rates are reduced between the 10th and 20th days of the month and the peak summer season is over.

The fact of the matter is that if Jalen Green is really good then there's no point in trading him because he's good. If Jalen Green sucks then there's no point in trading him because he'd have no trade value and you may as well just keep him and hope he becomes good later.

So either way, there's no point in trading him unless some star player becomes available and wants to come to Houston for some reason. Like if Jayson Tatum decided halfway through the year he can't live without Udoka and forced a trade here, well that's the only type of scenario I can see Jalen Green moving.

Agreed, and that's also the only scenario that Rockets fans should be ok with moving him. Unless you're trading him for a scorer superstar, he's currently the best scorer on the team (easily evidenced by him still outscoring everybody despite no longer being the focus and having the ball a LOT less - he puts up bigger scoring numbers with actual ease.)

Look, I know we are in the era of alternate facts and fake news, but dude please stop just making stuff up. I watched the game last night and saw nothing that looked like Ime stopped the game to correct Jalen's play.

He also said nothing in the post-game presser that indicated he needed to correct Jalen's play (and we know that he has not held back on being critical of Jalen or any of the younger players).

As a matter of fact, when a question was asked about Jalen, he literally said the opposite of what you indicated.

Coach Udoka's response to Jalen Green looking for his shot more this game:

"Yeah being aggressive, you know... he was looking for his shot more like you mentioned, but not kind of predetermining like he did last game - whether he was gonna pass or attack - kinda took what they gave him, but also obviously the numbers show by the free-throws... 12 free-throws he was aggressive getting downhill, getting to the basket, attacking when we were in the bonus and so I think he mixed it up a lot better tonight."

That doesn't sound like someone who had to call 2 timeouts to correct the player... pretty sure if he had to waste two timeouts on a player he would have mentioned it somewhere when asked about said player directly.

SMH... I hate to always sound like a Jalen defender, but the hate and made-up reasons for being critical of the kid are just ridiculously silly sometimes. This being one of them.

He was ON as well, so trying to act like he had a bad night on offense is actually just insane. Jalen could've easily hit 30 last night just as Alpi could've got the extra boards. People are literally blinding themselves to the facts of the situation with their own confirmation bias without a hint of irony.

Thanks for the good wishes, but what the heck is going on here in this thread? Why are people psycho-analyzing me?
I, myself, don’t think on such subliminal matters, why are Internet randos who’ve never met me writing such weird things here about me? That’s just weird…

Jalen has moved really well w/o the ball this year. High effort when doing so….

Can someone verify these multiple timeouts were about Green.

Thought he played well last night. Very active on D.

Jalen played amazing last night very aggressive, got to the line, very efficient, played good D and made the right passes. He's a keeper and will only get better with time and more experience.

Your projection is absolutely off the charts.

Why are you, some internet rando who has never met Jalen, psychoanalyzing him so often?

Maybe take a second to think about how ridiculous you sound when you write stuff like that, considering all of your bizarre critiques of Jalen’s personality and/or nature.

I call BS on that. Green is a public persona, his personality is totally fair game when analyzing his potential, as is for every other basketball player, be it KPJ (negative) or Tate (positive) or anybody else, etc… I may ask you why are you so against discussing it? Are there some feelings that are being stirred that you want to suppress?

The problem is your analysis of Green is based on your insecurities as a man.

We don't want to analyze Green based on your insecurities.

It's okay @NewAge , you can just call Green a f***** if you want, everyone knows that's how you feel. You don't have to say it in such round about way

I'm really trying not to pick on him, but in case there's a chance it gets him to reflect: it's most likely that this is about his father's insecurity as a man that he (New age) never feels he lived up to. So instead of living up to it or just becoming who he truly is, he just replays his father's role as the masculinity police and that gives him temporary mental relief and even a small surge of adrenaline afterwards as though he just shared an inside joke with his father. This is quite common in the world.

The reason this is all happening is because - as he admitted - he's never thought about why he thinks what he thinks. Usually that means there's something still very sore in his mind/past, so I think we shouldn't press a lot on this issue. You never know what someone's been through and how naked they feel without their coping mechanism. I know he has 0% chill with Jalen, but maybe he just needs to experience what it's like to not be judged in the same way he judges players.

    I'll give it a try.

No one said he had a bad game, but Ime had to correct him 2 times during the game when he started to go ISO dribble.

Just the facts....Ime has mentioned this before just watch the games - and you can also listen to Rockets watch where it was mentioned by someone AT the game as well.

    Sorry charlies....just spreading truth.

Yeah, well my sisters, boyfriend's, cousin was at the game and they said... never mind

Ime has commented on talking to all the guys during timeouts, coaching them up and he mentioned specifically going to Jalen regarding a defensive possession two games ago.

I just gave you the quote from Ime regarding Jalen's offensive play... nothing there about Jalen going rogue. As a matter of fact, he actually complemented him and said he did a better job of mixing things up offensively this game.

No worries on you having your opinions but don't try to pass them off as facts or "spreading truth". You were wrong when you said it and doubling down just makes you look like someone who has a problem admitting when they are wrong.

The problem is that you are hyper focusing and misinterpreting Jalen's appearance with his on court personality. Confusing his vanity with being "soft" or being feminine when in reality this is just how some kids dress these days because they think its cool (Josh Christopher, KPJ painted their nails too). Moreover, there's been other players like Dennis Rodman, who I don't think anyone would call soft... dress up, dye his hair, paint nails, etc. So while its fair to asses a players personality and try to correlate it with game performance, you're just waaaay off base with this one.
