Here is what I got form a ESPN poster that seems to have Raptor knowledge.

The so-called press conference by Glen Grunwald was virtually non-existent. It wasn't broadcast anywhere and seems more like an informal media scrum at the ACC. He told the media that all he knows about Vince Carter is what the media has reported. The reports are encouraging, but he hasn't been told anything directly yet.

He said he had a good meeting with Hakeem Olajuwon yesterday. He has made a firm offer and he does not want to get into a bidding war. He said that Olajwon has a big decision to make. It is now up to the Rocket if he wants to be a Raptor.

So there is still hope that Dream will be a Rocket. No bidding war.

If the dinasaur decides to remain a Rocket, Grunwald said that he will not pursue any more centres. That is bad news about bidding for Marc Jackson.

Hopefully, there will be better news tomorrow after Carter wakes up.

At least the Rockets and Raptors are only a mil or two apart per year. I really don't think the Dream wants to play that many more seasons.

He just wanted to play one more year for 10 mil. He just can't get that much so he needs to think about it. I think we will hear for the Dream tomorrow or the next day. He has all the offers now. It's just time to make up his mind.

    Here's the problem...

Dream wants more money but the Rockets won't give it to him. He doesn't want to leave Houston to only play a couple more seasons in the frozen north.

    Basically, he has a choice:

    1. Take the money the Rockets are offering and stay home.
    2. Go for more money in another city for 2 or 3 years.

At this point, he could decide to play baseball for all I care just as long as he does something and SOON!

I said in another thread that the salary cap is the thing to blame for this mess. In addition, the if the team forgot about Anderson, we would be able to keep Dream.

Wow.. listen to you guys.. This is too funny.. For months I listened to half of you guys here saying Webber was coming to Houston ro at least leaving Sacramento. Well, I said it a dozen times, he will stay, and he did.. Now I think its kind of funny what Olajuwon is doing to you guys, but I will step in and save your day.. Olajuwon is not going anywhere.. he is just screwing around to get a couple of bucks on a shorter deal, he dont want to have to work 3 years to get his money.. just relax.. he will still be a Rocket, and you will still be swept by the Kings.

I'm afraid now because who else would know better about a playoff collapse, choke, and embarrassment than the Kings? [IMG]

    Woe is us.

I hate it when the fourth seed is swept by the fifth seed. [IMG]

Correction: He will still be a Rocket, and you will still be swept by the Kings after Steve Francis is ejected for being intense and excited while the Rockets are making a huge comeback in the third quarter - of all four games.

Nothing like the fans of a team who got swept bragging about sweeping somebody! I'm curious, did you think it was funny when Webber was screwing around with you for A YEAR, and did everything he could to bail out of Sacramento? Now that was REALLY funny! Now give us another good laugh by being hammered by the Lakers for the 3rd straight year in the playoffs! [IMG]

LOL, in all four games? I thought he was only ejected in one of them games? and you are in no way going to make think for a second that is the reason you lost that one also.

Gee, it must be nice to be in the playoffs after all those years of the lottery. Do you know what else is nice? Championships. Do you know what is better? Two championships! That is really nice. Wouldn't you agree?

    Oh. Sorry.

Umm, 3 years in the playoffs, finally winning a playoff series last year, and we should be jealous? At least the Rockets have won championships! As a Rockets fan it's nice having been to the Finals, been to the conference finals. But I forgot, you Kings fans have that winning tradition of getting knocked out the playoffs in the 1st round, and getting swept in the 2nd round!
