Yao Ming... The big guy from China who was said to change the game of basketball. He and his team got dominated in the olympics...
can somebody help me out with info on these has-beens clifford rozier- lanky, athletic dude on warriors. looked like charlie villanueva. dickey simpkins-guy who looked older than he really was. he looked like a dark-skinned asian. was famous because he was on the bulls' bench during the glory years. priest lauderdale- tall center who was on the hawks. he was like 7'4 i think. travis knight- he was on the knicks a couple seasons ago. what happened to him. i didnt hear anything about him and i live by NYC, bubba wells- set record by committing 6 fouls in like 5 minutes . or something like that. was confused with bonzi wells. quincy lewis-looked like silkk the shocker. he was a swingman on the jazz. i thought he had pretty good potential., but hes not in the L anymore. hanno möttölä-name was famous because it was pronounced totally differently. it was pronounced "moata" i think. sam clancy- at usc, he was infamous for not being allowed to play ian important game because his GPA was too low. he looked michael clarke duncan. acie earl-played on celtics and raptors. looked muslim. was decent cuz of his size. isaac austin-tore it up for the heat against the knicks.
Remember him well. One of the best Houston High school basketball players I ever saw. First round draft pick of the Nuggets in 1982. Played 3 seasons with little success. No idea what happened to him. http://www.basketballreference.com/players/playerpage.htm?ilkid=WILLIRO02

What happened to the latin american guy that played for houston when thy won their championship?and bryant reeves as well as the final 4 MVP when carolina beats webber and howards team in college? and most of all what happened to horacio llamas who played for the suns for a while?
What happened to Rachel Nichols on ESPN? I loved that smoldering....pouting...full-lipped look she gave the camera....Oh...we're talking NBA players...
Brian "Big Country" Reeves Dennis "3D" Scott Anderson (former magic....part of the great mid 90s Orlando Magic team) Rodrick Rhodes Dawntay Jones (Mississipi) Yinka Dare Horacios Jamas (first Mexican-born NBA player) Mooky Blaylock Scoony Pen
Dennis Scott ate NYC and gobbled up ATL as an appetizer. No, seriously, the last I saw of him was at a Georgia Tech basketball game last season. The years have not been kind to his waistline. But apparently, he's on the comeback trail: link Dontae Jones- AKA Sugar Bear. The MSU great last played in the league in 1998 and plays in the Italian League. Yinka Dare- He died last year. Mookie Blaylock- Hangs out at Toby Keith concerts.....No, I'm not kidding. link Horacio is playing in Mexico. Rodrick Rhodes- He's playing in Brooklyn I think. Scoonie Penn is playing in Europe, Greek league I think. Big Country retired with chronic health issues. If you want to look up some "where are they now" folks, try this site.
I remember Miner beeing an awesome player which Kevin Lochery wouldnt give him playing time in a SUb Par Heat Squad. I use to like him alot, but i remember he got injured and never wanted to come back he said he wanted to become a lawyer..
Glenn Robinson Grant Hill Kwame Brown Joe Smith Jayson Williams and Jay Williams Eddie Griffin Mirsad Turkan Bryce Drew Michael Dickerson Jon Koncak??????????
Wow... Thanks Bama for the great info you provided. I used to root for Dontae and MSU when they made it as underdog to the final 4 against the likes of Camby (Umass) and Wallace (Syracuse) in the 1998 or thereabout. I thought he would be like a descent to very good NBA player....well that is history now
what about tracy murray? last i saw of him i was running 4s against him at the la verne la fitness and mirsad turksan (sp?) didnt we draft this guy ahead of rashard lewis? also what happened to muggsy bogues and sharone wright?
You're quite welcome. I was glad you brought up Sugar Bear, because it gave me an excuse to do a little research on someone I remember. It's amazing guys like him, that guy who played for the last UCLA championship team, was drafted by the Nets and turned out to be a total bust (don't recall his name). That link I provided has an index of every single player in the Euro leagues, so if you want to find someone you remember (remember Chris Gatling?).
gj, bama thanks a bunch, tuus. thats some good stuff right there. here are some updates of the posted info.. kirk haston-invited to training camp by Sixers scott burrell, ed o bannon, drew barry-trying out in Oregon camp for possibility to be drafted in Chinese Basketball Association link omar cook-signed by Bobcats
