It's time to start thinking about moving Jalen before the deadline

Give him a season before we cut him loose. There's a spark of potential in Green at the very least, and it's worth letting Udoka sort out.

This season, for sure, it was his first overall good game. I had a few last season too.

I don't think he's consistent enough to build a winning organization around. He can't be the guy if you can't realistically rely on him most every night. I wouldn't give him away, but right now it would be foolish to build around a guy you just can't trust yet. He might get there eventually. I'm not sure I'd trade him, but I wouldn't want to max him either.

 

This should be re-written as "the diminishing returns will compound" if you insist on using the phrase diminishing returns.

Diminishing returns is when the incremental benefit from an additional input decreases as more of that input is added. Exponentially multiplied suggests something is increasing at an exponential rate - which is the opposite of diminishing returns. And these ideas are usually used in different contexts. You really shouldn't combine them.

But yeah we won't be shopping Jalen any time soon.

 

When we drafted him he was a humble hardworking kid. Now he wants to be offcourt Kuzma fashionista with a KPJ offense iq

 

I highly doubt he is moved this year, but if by the end of this year he hasn't improved at all since last year I'd consider including him in packages for an established star. I wouldn't dump him though. Let the RFA market dictate what he gets.

It's been 4 games in the midst of the important 3rd year evaluation. As in you use the entire 3rd year for a full evaluation especially when he has an entirely new staff and core players to work with. Not to mention the team has control of him on a rookie scale salary for another year.

This thread ain't it. He isn't going anywhere before the deadline this year.

The focus is in fact the exact opposite. They're using this season to see what they have not what they can get

 

The average attention span here is 3 seconds, much less 3 games or 3 years lol. People really think you rebuild teams like you do in 2k using trade finder and upgrading in 20 seconds until you have 5 all stars on your squad lol.

Winning this year is important.
Winning far into the future is more important.

I get the I am tired of losing bit.
I dont get evaluating this team and its players after 4 games one.

We cant possibly know how much of these guys ceiling they will come to realize this early.
Even next year will be too early for many of the guys.
Quit trying to rush things folks.
