One notable category is the assist and how spread out it is. Ime talked about moving the ball in the post conference:

Steady Freddy: 11 assists (that's last year Haliburton/Harden type of assist game)
    Jabari: 4
    Jalen: 3
    Sengun: 4
    Tate: 5
    Dillon: 5
    Aaron/Landale/Amen: 1 (each).

We know Sengun and Tate sets people up; but what's nice is Jabari and Jalen had a nice assist game. Dillon with five assists is also impressive as a connector.

Great post and a good indicator of where we are heading.

    Solid.

This is a good response to the performance. We won, but against better teams we probably wouldn't have. We're stringing together better and better runs now, but the lulls are still mind-numbing to sit through, like a slow car crash. Great teams minimize those stretches and maximize their hot streaks. Like JVG said, don't ignore in a win all the things that were bad on the court, just like you shouldn't discount all the good things that happen in spite of a loss.

I hope we have two practices before the next game on Saturday too. These guys are young; they can handle it.

I much prefer this to "I'm a system".

Yeah, this is the kind of passing team I really wanted. If the PG is having an off night, no big deal, others can help with the ballhandling and playmaking. The passing and (on and off) good defense were my favorite parts of the game, tbh.

The team is still very slow at executing the new concepts. You can see it on offense and defense. We had the highest turnover in the NBA and are installing a brand new system. You're going to see these guys running the offense/defense faster and with more decisiveness. It's extremely unlikely that we won't look better by game 20 when things are clicking for a majority of the rotation. The rotations are also going to solidify whereas right now Udoka is testing different lineups.

I like how scientifically Udoka is approaching this season. Just improve each game. The big enemy is bad habits. He seems to understand that there's no fast way to get rid of bad habits. It can't be done quickly so of course progress will not be shown in the first few games of the season. He's actually being strict but fair with these guys. They were conditioned to not care much about winning the past 2 years. They all seem ultra competitive and excited to be a part of winning. Don't give them all season but you can't judge them now. No one promised it would be fixed by now, that would be absurd.

There's so much to look forward to. Jabari/Green/Sengun are going to look better and better. This 3-week home-stand feels like it may be a launching pad for their progress.

Was that one game because he is averaging 8 per game.
