Amen out a month basically sucks.

 

I mean, who are you comparing this team to? Compared to a seasoned playoff or play-in level team, yes I wouldn't be happy with letting Charlotte hang around. But, If you consider where this team has been the past few years, it is night and day, and a massive improvement. As far as the 3 point shooting, that's just the NBA today, man. You take it when you can get it.

 

Yall gonna have aneurisms wishing Green to score 30pts every game when he is learning a completely new system. I know Jalen going to have to pick up but this dude has 3 years to unlearn. it will take a little time

 

Amen probably out for at least 3 weeks. Sucks because he needs minutes to get comfy with the NBA, he looks out of position at times..nothing like in summer league..hopw he gets back quickly

Oh yea and we won!!

 

To focus on the good: a win! A decent FVV showing. We can win against so-so to sorry teams if our starting five all bring it to some degree and we get five people in double figures.

I do get what you are saying but they played the Warriors pretty well. Basically, if Curry didn't hate the Rockets with a passion and went off those closing minutes the Rockets could have won that game.

Obviously the Magic game was ugly.

But the Spurs game was a FT away from winning.

At the very least outside of a few teams, the elite teams, I don't think most teams will see the Rockets as an easy off night for them anymore.

 

@DaDakota today said Cam and Amen were going to be stars. then Amen goes down with another injury and Cam doesn't get in. DD also said Tari was his fav player..

Shooting above 50% from 3 covers many flaws.

 

Not to mention that I think he really played within himself tonight. Great shot selection, and I think what he did tonight is exactly what you want from him. People are still waiting around for him to turn into this ball dominant Iso guy, I just don't think that's his skill set.

 

Is it also incredible that the warriors made 9 more threes than us and only won by 11?

 

I don’t need him to average 30 lol. I just need him to be more efficient and reliable.

yeah we know jalen is capable. once he knows his spots in the system he will be. if not he will get traded. Rockets only need 2-3 of the youngsters to be good. Sengun is reliable (so far). Rocket need one more out of amen, tari, bari and cam.

 

Free throws don’t win playoff games. We learned that with James Harden.

You have to score well from the field if you want to win championships.

 

That's actually true. I think I said pretty much the same thing after the Warriors game - we played against them pretty well. Which is why I thought we could've/should've wrecked the Hornets with the way we played. But overall, there's definitely improvement. I'm not denying that, but it just seemed like we should've wrecked this team with the way we were playing, but the lapses are still there. I guess I'm just not as impressed by beating the Hornets and losing to the Spurs in the midst of all that. Let's hope the improvement continues against the Kings - they don't have Fox, so maybe we can actually win one against them.

His passion for Rockets is gargantuan, his predictions are even worse than infamous "D-List" members.
