If you're checking this BBS to gauge fan reaction to your latest offer to Dream and whether it fulfills your obligations -- meaning that if he rejects it, it's OK with us if you sign-and-trade him or let him walk -- it looks like you've got your answer.

Feel free to to give his jersey number to any CBA scrub we might pick up on a 10day contract as well.

And while you're at it, go ahead and give Dan Issel a call and offer Cato + picks for LaFrentz. [IMG]

I cried when Lo Charles went over the top of him in 1983,

I was devastated in 86 when a younger Dream lost to the Celtics (it wasnt as bad as when the Astros lost to the Mets but...)

I stuck it up everybody's ass in the tri state area when my Rockets beat their Knicks and the debate ended about who was better...Dream or Patrick

And I was fortunate to be in the building for game 4 of the Orl-Hou finals and I got chills ( i still do when i think of it) when I saw Dream drain that 3 at the end of the game....and again when Dream and Glide hugged at center court.

However, the way Dream (and his agent) are handling this negotiation is appaling and I will not shed a tear if/when he leaves.

The Rockets could have started their rebuilding process a couple of years before they did but they were loyal to Dream and didnt ship him off to Toronto. This goes to show you that even a model NBA star like Dream is about one thing...$$$...i guess i can't blame him for I would be doing the same thing...<sigh>

if anything has been appalling, it has been the disgusting behavior of the vast majority of the people on this board, such as "pippendagimp."

If Rocket management was going by reaction on this board, they would have renounced Hakeem on 7/18. Shandon too.

PDAGIMP -- I'm someone who finds it offensive that you, among many others, find it necessary, even enjoyable, to denigrate the greatest athlete in Houston history, calling for the Rockets to not only get rid of him, but GIVE HIS NUMBER TO A CBA SCRUB, all because the Dream is trying to negotiate a good deal for himself.

I think that type of behavior, particularly when you and ROCKET!!, among others, go over the line (to quote from the latter, "GET THE HELL OUT!"), is both appalling and disgusting.

By the way, if the Rockets ARE reading this BBS gauging our opinion, get rid of those freaking uniforms! And for Dream, come up with an answer or something, WE NEED THE FREAKING SEARCH OPTION BACK!

    JR,

Dream has already had a good deal negotiated for him, as a matter of fact, he has had several good deals presented to him. His immature behavior at this point is likely being fueled by his own selfishness and envy of David Robinson's contract.

I think it is considerably appalling and disgusting that after two decades of loyal fan support and his experiences as a Rocket he is behaving like this. It's one thing to defend him by pointing out he is only doing what is best for himself as a businessman/employee....but he cannot expect fans such as myself to kiss his feet at the same time. Sure it hurts when I see how he is behaving after so many years of trying to be like him. At this point it's only business for me, too. Nothing personal. I couldn't care less if we sign Venson Hamilton and give him #34.

And another thing, if you don't like my posts, get lost. Otherwise, I'm very happy to have you here [IMG]

feel free to waive/S&T him. Don't want this to happen, but reality unfortunately dominates my life.

don't do a cato with SA. "only" pay him a few mil (less than mooch), and let him sue fegan for the rest.

jamcracker's value has dropped like a stone recently, but I read on the ESPN boards that Toronto would take a band geek to be named later.
