One of the things I will give Trump credit for is they he’s not a warmonger. That though has less to do with wisdom on his part but more that he is venal by nature, doesn’t care so much about foreign affairs and is was willing to Play to beta male to Putin, Xi and even Kim Kong Un.
I perceive it differently. He ordered the assassination of an Iranian general. If Iran responds militarily, we could find ourselves in a conflict with them. He significantly increased drone attacks in Afghanistan and Yemen, supporting the Saudis. While he declared he won’t defend NATO, Taiwan, Ukraine, or South Korea, he has demonstrated a willingness to provoke Iran and even North Korea through his tweets and actions. The question isn’t just whether he would avoid conflicts (he has shown he wouldn’t), but rather, when he wouldn’t. I believe the answer lies in his personal views and relationships – he is likely to defend the Saudis and engage in military conflict with anyone, including China, if he deems it necessary to display strength. Some argue he’s less inclined to participate in large regional conflicts, but I think he’s just as, if not more, likely to initiate one.
Gotcha Covid last 10 months of Trump vs first 10 months of Biden. Biden has presided over about 353,000 deaths in a little over 10 months, compared to about 425,000 for Trump in his final 10-plus months. So there have still been fewer deaths under Biden than under Trump, in a similar time period. And many of Biden's were due to Trump's ignorance and negligence.
