In fact, Tuberville is the one who forced the issue to have anyone brought to the floor for a vote, Schumer was happy to never do it. It takes less than an hour to take a roll call vote. The whole idea that one Senator can stop any promotions that require Senate approval indefinitely is preposterous. All his hold can do is make it more tedious.
The Senate majority leader could bring the nominations to the floor one by one for consideration by regular procedure, but that would require two to three days for each. There's like hundreds to do, it's literally a waste of time which can be spend doing other tasks. How come his Republicans senators aren't persuading him to stand down?
