    He never wanted Sengun.

    https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/...s-fit-and-more-with-d-hardisty-clutch.312051/
Then tried to justify why Fernando should/would start and Sengun coming off the bench is a good thing.

    https://www.clutchfans.net/12583/alperen-sengun-rockets-off-the-bench/

Maybe he’s sticking to his pre-draft guns, maybe he don’t like his “play style”, maybe he don’t like him period!

I’ll defer to Sengun expert @AroundTheWorld and see what he thinks.

It was fun watching it, thanks for sharing man.

He says he prefers Davion Mitchell, Ziaire Williams, Moses Moody and Jalen Johnson over Josh Giddey too.

Clearly he's not a big fan of basketball IQ. That explains why he's so skeptical about Sengun. All makes sense now.

I had posted this stat last year:

    https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/nba-most-rebounds-by-nba-player-under-age-21

He is #9 Under-21/All time NBA total rebound grabbed. Can't be bad rebounder.

But there is an issue started during International games. Ataman the decayed man employed that s....y Jazz player Yurt7 at C position and Alp played at 4. Sengun had less rebound. did less assists.

Expectation for this year was 22/14/8 per 36. Alp played 34 mpg and the stats are 19/9/7 for the last 3 games. It is more or less equivalent of 21/10/8 per 36. Points and assists wise he is nearby to expected stats but 9 or 10 rebs per 36 is way too low. His first 2 years rebound stat was nearly 10.5 per 36. There is no way to grab less than "first two years average". Should be a system issue which to be resolved.

He played 33 minutes against GSW and got only 1 defensive rebound!!! Unacceptable. He is a clever and hard working guy and will tackle this defensive rebounding problem.

Josh Giddey is quite likely top prospect of '21 Draft ahead of Sengun and Franz Wagner. This trio is in their own league.

Giddey and Sengun will end-up as triple double machines.

I’m not sure I prefer those other guys over Josh Giddey, but I agree that Josh is way overrated.

Yes, I watched that. Have been aware of it. Consistent.

Was apparently right about Sharife Cooper and Day'ron Sharpe, whoever they are lol.

He's holding onto his opinion despite it keeping getting disproven on the court for two years now. He's a fighter; I'll give him that.

Big difference is Sengun is making mistakes but also making plays to help us win. Jabari on the other hand is basically doing nothing out there.

They said he's an elite shooter. He can't make anything.
They say he's a good defender he can't guard anyone.
He also doesn't block anyone out.

I still don't understand how Jabari was guarded by CP3 like 10 minutes and the Rockets never gave him the ball in the post 1 time last game... Jabari needs to go down low and demand the ball.

It's early in the season though he has time to turn it around. I still like Jabari. I just need more effort from him. Otherwise Tari is gonna take all his PT.

Looks like Bari actually had a pretty decent game against GSW, while it wasn't a great game for Alpi's standards.

All who don’t want Sengun on the team do it regardless of performance. It is either a preference for some type of center/basketball or some sort of hate for the player/fans etc.

Because there's no point of giving him the ball. Eveybody knows he'll just take a turnaround fadeaway jumper (which is the lowest percentage shot in the history of basketball if you are not Dirk Nowitzki) no matter who's guarding him

Sengun has been great. I'm not sure how anyone can deny that. Yes, he has made mistakes, but his current line of 19/9/6 with a .57 TS% is a borderline All Star line.

He is a cog in a well oiled machine, if you take him out of course he seems smaller.

And it's early days, don't forget that. This definitely can not be the full offense in swing that we're playing right now. Wait til it's all running and those numbers will go up. Actually watch some plays from the first few games and whilst we're making movement a lot more than Silas, we're still not really dissecting the defense, the Warriors sadly are the best at that, but it put it in stark contrast. Imagine what it'll be like in a month or so when it's less deliberate and more fluid (that is 100% going to happen, we have almost no continuity in our roster, Tate is our longest serving player. we're still learning how this all works) and I'm not at all worried about Sengun, or Green, FVV, Brooks or Tari. I think Bari has shown enough that he has skills and can be a solid scorer, but he needs more work getting out of his head I think. I could see Sengun being a solid 20-25/10/5-8ass player by the end of the year, with the assists and points fluctuating on whether he emerges more as a scorer (I actually do think this is more likely of the 2) or the Jokic style massive PG he's often projected to be because of his flashy passing.

This stats puts 21 years old Alp on par with 27 years olds Randle&Siakam. Good players but not great ones.

I assume that we expect little bit more than from Alp, our "Great" player.

It is becoming clear that he will fullfill the baby jokic name. And in a couple years, though he might not have the effect of jokic on the court, he will have similar stats to jokic. If he adds a reliable midrange shot and a 3 pt, he will be much closer to jokic than sabonis.

OK that is a bit extreme and does smell a bit racist…

Mobley is a DPOY candidate who has a developing offensive game.
Scottie Barnes is an excellent all-around player.
Cade was way overrated and had to deal with injuries, but should at least be in the conversation.
then you have some top-notch role players like Trey Murphy and Q. Grimes and H. Jones
Watch out for Jalen Johnson, he’s coming along, major talent, but with some issues.

Sengun, Giddey and Wagner have been quite excellent in many regards, but all three lack the athleticism so they will have to be really exceptional in the other areas to compensate. We’ll have to see.

Sengun led us to a 42-125 record so far. At what point do you finally say it's not working and he not the leader we are looking for.

You can dress him up like Randy Johnson and the bird he hit with a fastball, but it's still a dead bird at the end of the day.
