If you play in the Yahoo Fantasy Basketball league (anyone interested this year, let me know) they have a Play by Play option that is almost real time. It isn't quite up to par with TV or Radio but it beats nothing. Looks kind of like this: Yao defensive rebound. McGrady dunks. Foul on O Neal. McGrady misses free throw. Howard offensive rebound. Howard short jumper. Tin Man boos Howard and throws beer at TV. I think it cost a few bucks for the entire season.
why would you pay money to get something that is available for free at the good old clutchfans IRC chat room? we have a team of fast typers that transmit every action to the rest of the room...and several others who will fill in with some color commentary...and a realtime clock and scoreboard chatter... everything you could ever want(short of streaming video) to enjoy a Rockets game while out of Houston.
You know what would be great? Get a voice chat room, and let someone in Houston area do the play by play with real voice, that would be awesome.
