Why is it I get grilled for having wanted C Wood back??? Guarantee he would’ve made a free throw or a freaking wide open three pointer. His defense is certainly no worse than Jabrari. Only one thing that Jabrari does well and that is being tall. Tari is ten times the player, but that would make our lineup wayyy too small. At least we find out now if Jabrari isn’t any good before we give him $100 million. Always thought he could be a mini Durant, but have seen enough to think he’s more a mini Stromile Swift.

One thing that frightens me about Jabari is his inability to navigate screens right now. I hope we get him working overtime with Dillon/Fred/Tate on this. It is an absolute must that he be able to navigate screens while also providing some rim protection and rebounding. Would even allow us to get him some time at SF, which I'd be curious to see more of, knowing Udoka's history. The shooting will come.
Yeah Jabari should really be coming off the bench. If he shot decent we wouldve won. Everyone else stepped up but him.
I'd rather him focus his energy on the defensive end, and just start knocking down open jumpers when they come to him on offense.
This is about his main problem on defense, otherwise he's a very stellar one on one defender. IDGAF what some of yall say, some of yall have no idea what good defense is. People were really saying in the thread he's a bum for getting dunked on. Getting dunked on is NEVER bad defense. It's not optimal for sure, but bad defense is not being there to even get dunked on. A guy makes a spin move and to dunk on the other side of the rim you tip your cap, say nice move, and move on. Let's also ignore the chicken wing Wemby gave Jabari to even get past him because I'm sure refs will let him get away with that... But the biggest issue we have as a team is navigating screens and Bari is part of that issue. Hopefully with good coaching and vets he can learn how to free himself up because when he's squared up on a ball handler he's not easy to get past. Also not sure how the instructions are here and only the coach and team will know that but Jabari is a good on ball defender. I know people don't think so, they have their agendas and narratives... But the coach thinks so which is why he gives Jabari the hardest or 2nd hardest assignments. If he was so bad at on ball defense as people around here claim they'd hide him like they do with Green. But he's not. People just never consider that better offense always beats good defense but coaches and teammates still recognize it, pat the guy on the back for it, and say it was a good contest and you move on. Some moves cannot be defended. Period. If a guy is hitting fadeaway middies all game you literally can't defend that without getting away with a foul and just hoping they miss. Kind of sucks missing Tari because we had some really good defensive lineups with him. Jabari is the team's 2nd best rebounder too and on a team that last year this was a strength. Only issue is sometimes he comes down with it and guys are swiping and he needs to throw them bows, even if someone gets hit and he gets T'd up for it, guys need to know not to F with him if he's coming down with a board. The shooting I am convinced is completely mental and a confidence thing. Hopefully we can find some way to turn that around. As for these threads they are mind boggling to me honestly. People need to step back a bit. You'd think reading some of these comments Bari has NEVER had good games, he's just been scrubbing it up for an entire season and he's never shown ANY skill at all. Then he'll have a series of good games "NEXT CHRIS BOSH!" then he'll have a bad game "SCRUB WILL BE PLAYING IN CHINA!" More like 20 year old player struggles to be consistent. More at 11.
I chuckled when Wemby bodied him down low down the stretch. He might be the only player in the league Wemby is stronger than.
Last season %40.8 FG %30.7 3PT This season %32 FG %16.7 3PT Jabari is just an average or below average NBA player. He still has a value because of his age. We maybe think to use him as a trade asset.
Our 3rd pick is basically a bench scrub. Good job Stone. go look at last years draft, you will get to the late 20s to find someone that’s a lesser talent than Jabari.
He will figure it out. He is a baby. Truth be told, I still believe in JG/Jabari... And I believe in Udoka. We are going to get a lot better this year. I saw Udoka get on JG, Jabari, and Alperen's ass ALL IN THE SAME DAMN GAME. Makes me more happy than I can say. Those 3 can be great and we need a hardass kicking them in the ass on the daily.
Behind closed doors we knew that Tari would be getting a chunk of Bari's minutes if he ever struggled.
Jabari going to bring it next game. Mark it down. We are close to having something here. Just need to get pre-season Jabari back rolling with Fred and Alperen, and we NEED TO GET JG PLAYING HARDER ON DEFENSE FOR GOD SAKES. Dillon Brooks has been fantastic. Ariza/Tucker/Artest-ish. Really pleased with his play.
So nice you had to say it thrice! But for real I don’t know why I’ve been double posting a lot recently. Must be an internet issue

I feel like they emphasized Transition defense so much that they did not practice rebounding in intense situations. They were really not that good at boxing out in the first place. It is tough to train without a legit shotblocker or Andre Drummond on the team to simulate......
