bari is gong to start playing better.

jalen and sengun are starting to get it. and amen and bari will too.

if you cant see how well the rockets have played in this one game in relation to the past 3 years... youre not paying attention.

this was real ball. Rockets just really shot themselves in the foot.

 

Disappointed he could have won the game with the 2 FT. But, he didn't lose the game singlehandedly. He had a lot of help there as were 8 other FT missed. Unfortunately, the bandwagon has him as the scapegoat for both loses. I'm the first to say he's not where he needs to be but what is the expectation ? How many points, rebounds, 3's etc. does he need to to not be a bust ? Tough crowd....and we already have Amen needing to go to the GLeague. If he is such a horrible defender, don't put him on Wemby. He was being harpooned as he sat on the bench.

 

Let's forget about his 25 points, 14 rebs, 7 assists, and 2 steals while being a focal point of offense, why don't we? Here, I'll help you out, you forgot he didn't make all his FTs.

I mean seriously people, l know some of ya'll have personal agendas, but there are better games to choose to rag on Sengun than this one.

 

These are things that if the coaching is good will get fixed through the year.

Like I said in the other thread, no one should be expecting playoffs, but they are going to be competitive and get closer to 40 wins this year.

Guys will play better the more they understand their roles and such.

 

I agreed with you up until Jabari. Jabari sucked when it mattered, but had we shot 3's or FT's at even a respectable clip, we would've never needed Jabari nor gone into OT.

 

I think Jalen is finally seeing nba plays. He’s confused.

I can’t judge him till mid season. He had the worst coach of all time trying to force him to play cuttino Mobley ball.

He was invisible but he was deferring to better options.

But the fact that those options are better is the issue.

 

Our upcoming schedule is tough as hell, if we don't win next Wednesday game against the Hornets, we could realistic lose until December.

It's very possible we start the season with a 15 game losing streak.

Remember when Jalen had a stretch where he was getting 6-7 apg for a for a little while last season? We never saw that again

That was fun for 3 quarters, 11 minutes, and 30 seconds.

Bari really blew the game. I have great confidence in him but he essentially turned into Wemby’s son in the fourth and beyond. It’s like he got shook after Wemby’s consecutive blocks on him and just forgot how to ball...

Alpi finally got a well-deserved poster on Zach Collins! He’s so good (but needs to hit his damn free throws!)

Udoka is good, but there’s a lot of work to still. The offense and defense look way more structured than last year already. That means something.

Jalen has GOT to be more assertive. Doesn’t matter if he wasn’t getting the ball—he’s got to demand it, or cut hard off-ball. Not a bad game overall, though.

I think FVV is still working on knowing his guys’ spots, so he ended up force feeding Alpi for much of the second part of the fourth quarter—to great effect. I think we needed some more variation, though.

I know it’s frustrating to lose like this, but we had it in the bag even with the refs firmly on the side of the Spurs. We literally beat ourselves. It was a fine game. The NEXT game might be tough though.

 

Yea, I did not like the forced possessions at the end.

 

Nah. Definitely not the case. Green is a better option in a lot instances. Look at his clutch situation scoring efficiency last season.

 

Yeah I don't get ragging on the player of the game for the loss either.
