Jalen Green is still young @J.R. Akeem Olajuwon led the Rockets to the NBA finals in his second year Green is on his third year and we at the bottom breh
So Green is maybe the next Curry or Ray Allen and be a generational shooter? I'd give the odds of that happening as maybe 1 in 1000.
Who knows if he'd still want to be a Rocket after Udoka said FVV is a better fit publicly. They had an opportunity to sign him without giving up any assets. He got screwed over with his contract situation and opted in partially because the Rockets changed their mind and decided not to pursue him. Stone would get his ass whooped negotiating a trade with Morey. Now they'd probably have to package Jalen in a trade for Harden instead of having both and trading one of the two for additional assets if things didn't work out. Tilman badly needs to hire a reputable GM then tell his son to shut up and listen. Harden on this team would make a big difference and would help Jalen and Jabari get easier shots. Now Jalen's being exposed because there are no other players on the team who can consistently create for themselves and others besides Muggsy Bogues Jr. They have no elite ball handlers and probably the shortest starting backcourt in the NBA. I wonder if FVV would be paid his much by any other team. This is superstar money he's getting.
If anything, KPJ helped Green get better shots. Not because he was a great point guard/playmaker, but because he was a bonafide threat on offense. He's been grossly underrated by Rocket fans. Many were spot on about his character issues, but the man could play and was one of the most versatile players on the team. The Rockets have no elite dribblers/penetrators who can help Jalen get easier shots. All teams have to do is attack Jalen and Jabari on D and force FVV and Brooks into beating them. Hence why they only scored 86 points against Orlando, out of all teams. The only way Jalen is going to stand out and be more effective is if the Rockets play great defense and increase the tempo so he can get some easier looks.

Green's 3 point game is not even his signature, far from it......he probably is going to rely on his athleticism for most of his career.
This guy is surely not the Franchse Player. If he is playing like last night it will be a big misunderstanding Relationship between Jalen and the Rockets! If the Rockets play away, Jalen is in 90% of the games garbage!
Yeah, I’m ready to put the stamp on this one. “BUST”. I don’t care if it’s the first game of the season it’s easy to tell he’s not the guy. He’s supposed to stand out from the rest of the roster by year 3. This is senguns team and we should trade green before the whole league gets the memo and realizes he’s a bust. It’s sad to say that other than sengun..Dillon brooks was the highlight of the night lol
Jalen is the same player he was from his first season. Tell me one aspect of his game that you can say he was made sizeable improvements in.
Obviously green will not be as good as the dream but that is a unfair comparison. Team success is dependent on the team. Hakeem as a 2nd year player was older than green is now so it's a bit different. Lastly the guy that went 3rd that year (some guard from unc) had 3 consecutive losing seasons.
somebody should hook him up with Test and HGH by now, cmon bruh. You love Kobe so much go to one of his 'doctors' in Munich for annual summer 'rehab'
A lot of his struggles fall on Stone. Zero coaching for 2 years, almost no physical progress. Dudes get bulked up like that in 3 months of training not in 3 years... I think he bounces off every defender on every dunk attempt he ever attempted. Going by finesse he would need a lot more skill than he seems to posses. Way better dribbling, shotmaking, and playmaking. When his shot is not falling he is not able to influence defenses because he is still too weak
