Same! Was there with my dad down the first base line. That was in the first few months of law school for me…I skipped class the next day.

Other memorable events I attended there:

Astros last regular season game in 1999
Oilers last home game ever…it was like a funeral
    Michael Jackson VictoryTour
Game where Bagwell hit 3 HRs and 2 in the same inning
Astros game vs Cardinals where we came back from down 7 with a group of friends
    NBA All Star Game
Astros game that ended up being the longest regular season game in history…no, I didn’t stay for all of it
Last game before the MLB strike in 1994
Astros game where I wanted to punch Mickey Gilley for leering at my girlfriend (now wife) way too long

I saw my first MLB,NFL, AND College Football games all at the dome
MLB i have no idea when but one of the first I can remember was seeing Astros play the Dodgers in 74.
NFL Oilers vs Bucs in 76 It was the Bucs first regular season game and Steve Spurrier was the starting QB for Tampa Bay
NCAA- UH vs UNLV in 1990 David Klingler's first college start.

Was it after the 7th inning stretch?

The girls all get prettier at closing time
They all begin to look like movie stars
The girls all get prettier at closing time
When the change starts taking place
It puts a glow on every face
Of the falling angels of the back street bars.

That time 5'8" John Cangelosi took down 6'7" Jeff Juden (7:35 has a good shot of it).

Not sure why this is what pops into my mind on this question.
