This has got to be the WORST billboard ad I have ever seen, and it makes the Glide look like a freaking chump.

If you havent seen it, let me try to paint a picture. Its an ad for some brick company.....

The title reads: "Now I enjoy shooting bricks". The picture is of Clyde in a black and white striped jersey (think of a garment you would wear in jail) shooting a red brick to a wall of bricks. To the direct left of Clyde shooting, is another picture of CLYDE in a business suit. What??? I didnt know he had a twin! Dueling Clyde's....

To say this ad sucks and make Clyde look like he was a sucky, brick laying basketball player is an understatement.

To view for yourself, travel on the West Loop North past 1-10 and right before 290. It will be on your left.

I see that billboard every day and think the same thing. Clyde has always seemed so goofy to me. I wouldn't be surprised to know he had something to do with idea.

There is another sign on Interstate 10 before the federal road exit. I also agree with you, it is goofy.

Nick Anderson should have the market cornered on those ads.

Ad: The Rupblicans want to build a wall between Mexico and Texas. I've got all the bricks you need right here. Clyde.

Ad: I collected all the bricks that Karl Malone laid here in Houston, so if you need some, I've got plenty to go around, call Clyde.

Ad: Yao, I can build you a Great Wall of China, Call me. I've got bricks.

Ad: Pig Miller bought bricks from me, and nobody blew his house down.

That sounds like some pretty effective advertising. How many billboards inspire written correspondence in a public forum? And now, people will be looking for their ad as they drive by to see how bad it is. I don't know what more an advertising company could ask for.

I would almost agree with you but if you notice no one can remember the name of the brick company all they can remember is how bad the billboard is. An ad is worthless if at the end you are thinking to yourself... what was that an ad for or what was the name of that company.

    PS that billboard is BAD

God you are so right, that billboard is horrible. I think the jersey he is wearing is a weak attempt at trying to be a replica of the pj's. He looks like a huge dork.

I pass it everyday on the way to work, I'll try to remember to bring my camera on Monday and take a pic for you out of towners. Of course I may just get into an accident trying to do that, but it's worth the risk. You have to see how terrible this is.

Even more reason to see Clyde involved in such a noticably cheezy ad campaign.
