Hey guys. I recently went back home to visit my family in NC. My sister was telling me she purchased an XBOX off the net at some great discounted price ($30) if she signed up with this gaming site, but anyway, it was Christmas morning and it wasn't there yet so she went out to the local store a purchased an XBOX so her b/f would have a present to open that day. When the XBOX from the internet arrived, they tried to play it but it says "Your XBOX needs to be Serviced. Please call the number listed in your manuel". So they gave it to me to bring back with me to see if I can get it working. I haven't had any luck so I'm wondering if anyone knows anyone I can take it to locally (I live in west Houston, Memorial/Hwy6 area). I think its just the lens or something b/c it doesn't detect a music CD or a DVD. Any suggestions guys? BTW, what would be a ballpark for the price it'd take to fix it?
call the 1800 number in the manual. They'll tell yo pack it up and send it off to them to fix. It should take 2 weeks. I had dirty disc errors with mine, and I just ran a DVD cleaner through it and it's fine now..
What did they charge? Oh, and I dont have the manual. Just one controllar, the system, and hookups. Whats the #?
i had the sa 1800-myXbox,i had the same problem with my xbox forgot how much it costs to fix though once i find out ill report back
Hee Hee. My xbox is working fine, and last night I accidentally fixed my TV by dropping it on the floor. Picture has never been better. Try dropping it. You never know.
