The tone of Altuve from the National Media is starting to change. I've notice this over the course of the season and especially one of the articles that Ken Rosenthal wrote this week where he points out that all signs show Altuve wasn't involved. The reason why I point out Ken Rosenthal specifically is because he has a huge voice among baseball writers. I'm not a fan of how baseball writers carry so much power when it comes to the hall of fame. A lot of these baseball writers have terrible egos, and they like to be part of the story rather than telling the story. Altuve has been a leader amongst men how he has handled the scandal. I do not think Altuve will have any challenge getting into the hall of fame and he should go down as the best Astro ever behind Jeff Bagwell.
The hate is thick this morning. I’m seeing on other forums and under FB posts noting how Altuve is second in post season home runs. A lot of accusations that the Stros are still cheating even though they are hitting well in Globe Life Stadium. Saw someone claiming they were still using the trashcan scheme post season 2020 even though the Stros played every post season game on the road in stadiums with no fans
You're right. Sometimes it annoys me especially with Altuve who didn't even participate in the trashcan scheme and has been a class act his whole career.
I hear ya about Altuve but for me I moved on from it after last years WS win. You just can't fix stupid. Its fitting that we're in every fans head from now until the end of time, its hilarious. I just laugh and rub my hands together saying bwwwaaaaaaahhhhhhh,
